ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Democrats seeking to replace President Bush brushed aside their own differences on Thursday and roundly condemned Bush's handling of the economy and Iraq.

"This president is a miserable failure," said former House Democratic leader Dick Gephardt of Missouri, repeating the line twice and blaming Bush for the loss of American jobs and prestige.

first major debate of 2004 race

What made this clown convention any more significant than the past ones?

Perhaps it's because it occurred on the same night as the kickoff of the first regular season NFL game of the 2003 season.

The candidates joined in criticizing Bush's tax cuts and suggested that his policies had helped eliminate U.S. jobs.

I may be making a bit of a leap here but weren't all the global trade pacts, etc passed by either a DemocRatically controlled House or Senate, not to mention H1B and L1 worker visas legislation.

I'm lazy tonight, and don't feel like GooGleing right now. Humor me here, please.

It's just like a bunch of socialists to take no blame for the country going to crap in a handbag... Go figure!

I know the pubbies are not without blame, but the audacity of Geopardty to make such a statement is ludicrous to say the least.

I figure, the traitors are all angling now to appeal to the looniest and the most fanatical RAT activists, who can be counted on spending countless hours volunteering for them to garner support and spread the message which will be suitably softened to appeal to the next outer ring of RAT voters, and so on until it sounds like milquetoast, attractive to the independents and the uninformed.

"Why would we want to keep anything of the Bush tax plan?" asked Gephardt in response. "It's a miserable failure."

The failure is in the government to do what they expect others to do, cut the fat and decrease spending. The bigger the government grows the more of our money they will take for pet projects outside what they are there to do.

Last weekend the wife and I were out for a walk here on main street and there was a group of young girls out on the corner raising money for someone to get a liver transplant. They were spending 24 hours there to help raise the money.

People come together in times of need, and while it was sad to see it to it was not something which happens often. Reform malpractice laws, lower insurance rates for doctors, and drive down the costs instead of catering to the higher prices which will only continue to grow. Just my 2 cents.

Of course these miserable worms slammed Bush. They have nothing of any substance to offer. The party that complains the loudest about the politics of personal destruction, practices it the most! They must make our other enemies feel empowered with their disgraceful disrespect for the Presidency. This is no longer just politics, it is a culture war, and we are fighting for the survival of the constitution.
