'bout damn time someone uses a brain cell in the DOHS. I usually do not want more laws, but I wish the 'guberment passes a nice "do not use other countries bogus documents" as legal identificalion law sometime soon.

Ridge is an idiot!

Our country has been over run by *MILLIONS* that have entered our country illegally since the 911 terrorist attack. It's a NATIONWIDE invasion reaching from Arizona, to Cal to Georgia, to Indiana, to Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Florida, etc etc.....It's completely choking off our system and creating epic fraud!

All this while Ridge and Bush stand in stone f-ing silence, winking and nodding while all the politicos are pandering to these criminals.

What did it take, just two or three years for this to hit his rader screen? I'm not even Homeland Defense Secretary and I know about this years ago.

I hope we're not keeping him awake...

But anti-immigrant groups say the cards invite illegal immigration

"Anti-immigrant"? Huh? What an idiot. How about "anti-ILLEGAL-immigrant"? How about there are a lot of us who consider ILLEGAL activities wrong? Man....

Businesses and cities that accept identification cards issued by Mexico to its citizens in the United States do so at their own risk because the documents are not fraud-proof, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said Wednesday.

In other words .. Wake up States .. cause the Government may not always bail your butts out of the hot water.

Doesn't the author mean groups opposed to illegal-immigration?

I guess that doesn't make them sound as xenophobic.

Ridge says Mexican consular ID cards have security problems

Uh, how about "legality problems". Sheesh what wimps we have in this government. They are too scared to take on illegals, and they are terrified to take on Chuck Schumer on judicial appointments. What ARE they willing to fight for?

And there's this: "Some Latino groups are awaiting a position from the White House on the debate over the cards, which they say will be a measure of his commitment to Hispanics."

Lemme get this straight; "Some" Latino groups are waiting to see if he will......continue coddling ILLEGALS, people who by definition, break our laws??? These people were taught well by their handlers. Just another group of victims from the Dim coalition. Nothing to see here...

So he doesn't really have a problem with the cards, except they "aren't secure enough".

This is nothing more than a ploy to advance biometric national ID cards here in the states.

The Republicans will play footsie with the Mexican goverment over these cards, while they leave the borders wide open and enact national ID cards.

When it's the Democrats turn to rule over us, they will pass a law to recognize the Mexican cards.

Republican voters will blame the democrats for recognizing the Mexican id cards, while demoncrat voters will blame the GOP for forcing national ID cards on all of us.

Classic good cop, bad cop.

Ridge is setting you up for Amnesty. The argument will be made that we need to legalize the Illegals and document them, as a security matter.

This is a Trojan Horse for Bush and Rove's Amnesty, nothing less.
