Ridge says Mexican consular ID cards have security problems

Businesses and cities that accept identification cards issued by Mexico to its citizens in the United States do so at their own risk because the documents are not fraud-proof, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said Wednesday.

The Mexican IDs are under review by a White House-led panel to determine if they pose a security risk and whether the cards should be accepted as proper identification.

Uh, how about "legality problems". Sheesh what wimps we have in this government. They are too scared to take on illegals, and they are terrified to take on Chuck Schumer on judicial appointments. What ARE they willing to fight for?

Until such time, he is still committed to fighting for his right to appoint judges, and I applaud him for adhering to the letter of the Constitution and not making recess appointments. If he were to do that for political reasons, he would be just as guilty of violating his constitutional pledge as are Democrats who demagogue every conservative they find.

Lemme get this straight; "Some" Latino groups are waiting to see if he will......continue coddling ILLEGALS, people who by definition, break our laws??? These people were taught well by their handlers. Just another group of victims from the Dim coalition. Nothing to see here...

So he doesn't really have a problem with the cards, except they "aren't secure enough".

This is nothing more than a ploy to advance biometric national ID cards here in the states.

The Republicans will play footsie with the Mexican goverment over these cards, while they leave the borders wide open and enact national ID cards.

When it's the Democrats turn to rule over us, they will pass a law to recognize the Mexican cards.

Republican voters will blame the democrats for recognizing the Mexican id cards, while demoncrat voters will blame the GOP for forcing national ID cards on all of us.
