I gotta tell ya, the Sharps had much more kick than the .50 cal!!
Sir, if I am allowed, may I shoot the .50 prone-unsupported and skip the Sharps completely?

I do have some group shots. If you want to see some of them, just Freepmail me your e mail address.
I don't suppose you ever saw a Mateba? I was planning on bringing that, my Remington Rolling Block and a half dozen others.
By the way, I picked up a Magazine the other day that was intitled "Deer Rifles". They had an article on a Sharps 45-70. The whole article never mentioned the Sharps and it had pictures of a Remington. It's pretty sad when the magazines act like the lib media. It's on the newstands now if you're curious.

All I know about the Mateba is that they make a semi-auto revolver. Amazing!
You will be missed again. We will do this again!

We had a blast at the last shoot, y'all!
Heck, all it takes is guns and grub!
To find this place from Houston, just remember to keep straight on Highway 90 through San Antonio.
Santa Anna laid out the streets in San Antonio several years ago to confuse the gringos, so don't turn off. We might not be able to find you.
After you pass Loop 410 on the west side go about four miles to the Grosenbacher Road on the right. Turn right and go two and a quarter miles. The range is on the left.
Park in the luxurious parking lot and go through the office.
Take the door to the left and follow the sidewalk past the handgun range. Hang a right just in back of the elevated stand and follow the footpath to the gathering area.
I'll get there about tenish or elevenish.

"so don't turn off. We might not be able to find you." ...so don't turn off. We might not be able to find you.

"They had an article on a Sharps 45-70." The Sharp's 45.70 is a drop block rifle rather than a rolling block.
I don't know the advantages of one over the other.
The 45.70 is a cool gun, but it kicks like a bay mule!
To: Eaker
Hey, Tom, did I tell you I got in a hundred rounds of ball ammo for the .50?
We've got enough ammo this time for everybody to have a good time shooting it.
To: RikaStrom
Rika, sweet, sugar, honey pie, would you contact Christine and Cedar Chopper and let them know about the shoot.
I don't think Christine lurks here anymore, and Cedar Chopper isn't a member as far as I know.
To: cpdiii
Doggoneit, Charlie!
I left you out of the ping!
Sorry, pard!
To: Shooter 2.5
I sure wish you could make it, G., but I fully understand.
We'll take a lot of pics so you can eat your heart out for not being there.
