DERRY, N.H. (Reuters) - Maybe it was the ginger tea or the homemade brownies, but Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry ran a gamut of emotions on Wednesday, angrily denouncing President Bush as "dead wrong" on Iraq and shedding tears at a jobless woman's story.

He needs to take a page out of George Romney's playbook and claim that in regard to Iraq, he was "brainwashed."

Can someone ping whoever has the video of Clintoon "crying" as he walked along at Ron Brown's funeral? Read my mind. Do all Democrats attend seminars on how to act Clintonian?

Kerry's doing a Muskie...
To: Defiant
Muskie became the favorite to win the 1972 Democratic Presidential nomination. But being the front-runner for over a year proved difficult. During the New Hampshire primary, Muskie choked with anger and seemed to cry because of a couple of nasty articles in the "Manchester Union Leader." One article proved to be a hoax. The other attacked Muskie's wife. Muskie then attacked publisher William Loeb. EDMUND S. MUSKIE: (February 1972) By attacking me, by attacking my wife, he has proved himself to be a gutless coward. And maybe I said all I should on it. It's fortunate for him he's not on this platform beside me. A good woman--
CHARLAYNE HUNTER-GAULT: The episode came to symbolize the collapse of Muskie's Presidential campaign because of the perception that he was weak. Muskie then went back to the Senate and headed the powerful Budget Committee until President Carter tapped him to be Secretary of State in 1980.

In those days, when a man cried over an everyday slight, he showed himself as unfit to lead a nation faced by deadly enemies. Now, to democrats, anyway, it's a sign of good, feminine qualities in a candidate. Yes, but that's only true of male democrats.
Female democrats aspiring to office must be abrasive and arrogant as they bellow claims of victimization by the patriarchy.

As I understand it, Vietnam Veteran John Vietnam Kerry did in fact serve in the Vietnam War which was fought in Vietnam, making him a Vietnam veteran of the Vietnam War in Vietnam. Did you also know that he is a Vietnam Veteran?
This has got to be one of the funniest threads I've read on FR in a while! Ow, I think I pulled something...
