Understanding Jihad (by a Muslim)

It is time to use our means to make all moslem land as smooth as glass with our portable nuclear "furnaces" and all members of the mohammedan cult as extinct as the dodo bird and a nasty stained memory of the more decent members of the human race...

What is hard to understand about Jihad? People of Arabic descent want a large area with absolutely no one of Israeli descent within 2,000 miles. If, as I hope Israel finishes its barrier btwn its own country and the bastards in Jenin, Gaza strip, etc, the Palestinians will simply begin to fire more and more missiles upon the Israelis! The problem with the ragheads is not that the Israelis are occupiers, the problem with the ragheads is that the Israeli EXIST!!!

And this is supposed to make us feel better, how?

Such an endeavor is an act of war.

This is the essential prerequisite for Islamic Renaissance, as it constitutes the only methodology to generate the dedicated and committed man-power to undertake the Jihad for the establishment of the domination of Islam over all other systems of life, all over the world.

Yep, they sure do. This is one of the fellows trying to take the "holy war" out of jihad - a standard interpretation in many parts, including Saudi. Taking cue from the West, these fellows blame the West for an interpretation problem, authenticating the guilt lefties think their own culture should have.

Some writers have described Jihad as the fifth pillar of Islam, while others have relegated it to a mere Fard Kafayah (a collective, rather than personal, duty).

I, personally, relegate it to a mere Fart Cafe-au-lait.

IMO, There is nothing wrong with bolding, or even coloring, text to emphasize a point. However, I agree that the aside comments are better reserved to the comments section.

So, the only reason that Islam hasn't declared war on the rest of the world is because they don't, yet, have the resources to win.

Rather than deride his interpretation of his faith, as many are wont to do, let's take his words as gospel.

Now if it only 10 percent of the Muslims of the world believe they are in the ninth stage of Jihad, that means 100 million Muslims want to kill me.

It doesn't make me feel any better to know that maybe another 100 million or so are only in the eigth stage or whatever, as long as they don't actively find and punish the radicals.

...What does this ayah really mean? It means that there is absolutely no way, for a person who claims to be a believer, to avoid Jihad fi Sabeel lillah and still remain a believer in the sight of Almighty Allah (SWT). Indeed, the very definition of a mo'min, as given in Surah Al-Hujurat, necessitates that a strong faith and state of inner certitude be coupled with an active struggle in the path of Allah (SWT)...

Why is is that even English-speaking muslims cannot address a non-muslim audience without throwing in so much BS?

bold and color don't bother me personally. Just the additional comments because it becomes difficult to discern what was in the original and what is not, even if colored.
