Johnny Depp Says U.S. Is Like a 'Dumb Puppy' By REUTERS
Filed at 7:48 a.m. ET
BERLIN (Reuters) - Hollywood star Johnny Depp said on Wednesday the United States was a stupid, aggressive puppy and he would not live there until the political climate changed.
The 40-year-old actor, who stars in the ``Pirates of the Caribbean,'' told the German news magazine Stern he was happier staying in the south of France with his wife, the French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, and their two children.
``America is dumb, it's like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, aggressive,'' he said.
``My daughter is four, my boy is one. I'd like them to see America as a toy, a broken toy. Investigate it a little, check it out, get this feeling and then get out,'' said the star of the off-beat films ``Edward Scissorhands'' and ``Dead Man.''
Depp slammed George W. Bush's administration for its criticism of French opposition to the U.S.-led war in Iraq.
``I was ecstatic they re-named 'French Fries' as 'Freedom Fries'. Grown men and women in positions of power in the U.S. government showing themselves as idiots,'' he told Stern.

Coca Cola Bottling, out of Chatanooga, or is it Memphis? The Harrison family. They operate a friggin airline for politicians. Turboprops with those friggin Garrets, King Air's, a Sikorski for high profile arrivals at race tracks, and the Gulfstream. They even operate the turboprops with flight attendants like a real airline. UFB, a politicians dream. Bubba was his butt-boy.

Well, then go ahead and spend your money on the man so he'll use it to stay in France (hopefully forever). In the meantime, I'll not waste one dime on this creep's career, Instead, I will use the money I save to contribute to Bush's re-election.

If only the other actors/actresses who "threatened" to leave would do so, I know I would feel much better.
Depp made a good choice. France is an excellent place for people who hate America to congregate.

That would be the Harrison-Lupton clan out of Chattanooga...one of the nations largest coke bottlers and founders of several REITs too. They own several malls here in Nashville and elsewhere.
They mostly live in palatial spreads on top of Lookout Mountain. They used to be listed in the family section of the Forbes 400...somewhere around the billion dollar mark.
My dad had a King Air D90 in his salad days. His last bird was one of the last Dukes ever made.

"and who really give a $hit for when these 'Hollywood celebs' spout off their political views?"
I'd be careful with such statements for the next 2 months, my dear.

France, the socialist paradise where old people die by the thousands becasue of a heat wave. Looks like some of that heat has idled Johnny's brain.

After puking all over the citation II I was flying, some guy named Stephens from somewhere in the same area had to lecture me in his full drunken manner about just who and what he was and who his friends were. Clinton was repeated several times. He handed me a hundred to have the carpet cleaned. What a bunch of drunken arrogant $hits.
I called the local cops as they drove their Suburbans onto the ramp to take their dead animals and guns home. They were in no shape to drive. Cops arrived to see them drive off but would not stop them. They were fall down drunk but owned the cops.

The duke is about as common as the Queen Air. Sexy looking bird. Short on performance though. We won't even talk about the Dutchess.

Stephens is probably the Little Rock investment/brokerage house...known Klintoon supporters.
I like to be around very wealthy folks when they are low key and modest and would prefer folks not know. Discretion.
My dad used to tell me that if you had to count it and broadcast it, that it wasn't enough....sort of like at a Poker table.

Just for fun I used to radio ahead and tell them I was a Foxtrot Hotel plane arriving in a half hour and I expected the usual catering and butter in my a$$ services(crew car, red carpet, courtesy car, washing, vacuum, etc....) I'd arrive on the ramp in an Aztec, or Citation and find nobody to even park me. They were all too busy ordering food, washing cars, making fresh popcorn, and buttering their bottoms for Frankies soon to not be arriving plane. I really enjoyed the show! I did it just enough to know that at some point someone at an FBO told the real pilots to piss off cuz they wasn't fallin for that again.

A very heavy car for such a little asthmatic engine. Sounds sweet and sits nice though. Mine is coming along nicely. I also just picked up a 73 GT6 MKII. All original and no rust. A little pocket rocket. Not many people know it but those engine platforms in the MG, Triumph family were tractor engines. That GT6 engine is still used in Leyland tractors today. The real Land Rovers of the 60's and 70's used the 1898cc MG engine too. Top speed of a whole 60MPH, while pushing the orange.
Don't you miss the seating position in the old British cars? The cockpit view is much like an airplane too. You have to stop scanning the instrumentation just to look out the window.

#8..After reading this, I really regret seeing the movie and contributing to his puppy fund, ie., millions of dollars he has no trouble accepting from these aggressive Americans.
His disdain makes me sick.
Sure, probably most actors have similar sentiments, but it's one thing to have our noses rubbed in it.....(there's that puppy comparison again :^
At least, he took his millions & made good on his desire to live away from here!
But isn't it oh so brave to spout off his anti-American sentiments when not on American soil!
Say it here, John.....let's see how brave you are.

I use to love Johnny Depp. I will not be seeing anymore of his movies. Im sick of these savvy celebrities using political statements for publicity. Johnny is very naive about France.

I'm 6'5" and maybe I was 6'3" back then...I was 15.
I fit in that car like a glove with my legs way up under the dash for the pedals. I love the way the shifter was right at rested elbow reach too.
I bought it for 1800 bucks in fall of 73 after working pipeline construction all summer.
How'd you like the amputeed midget "rear seat"...lol
I traded it for a BMW 1600 2 years later.

Trust me. I speak French having been forced to do so by German nuns in an Italian Order who taught in French.
It doesn't sound any better in any other language.
You just cannot take a personality like Depp, who is a good actor, but actor still, and make him into a geopolitical analyst. As I said, everyone has opinions. Some opinions as worth less.
