Loooooong story short. Is it typical of a painting company to say we have to move OUT for 4-5 days? I DO understand the day that the scraping, etc. is being done. I wouldn't WANT to be in here.
4-5 days???? Is that "normal" for someone to tell ME I can't be in MY house????

4-5 days...I've never been told that...but our repainting has always been done before moving in or after moving out.
Are they removing the popcorn texturing from the ceiling? That's a very messy job, and they probably don't want you in the area. That lets them move or cover furniture and get it all done rather than doing just one room at a time.
(My expert daughter-in-law tells me a lot depends on who you use...a professional is going to do one room at a time so they can clear it out entirely while scraping.)
