[history]
It was not the topic of a sermon, but it was still a hot topic on many minds at Bethel Baptist Church in Santa Ana on Sunday. Vote with your heart or your head?
"As believers, we should all be concerned about social issues," said the Rev. Dan Davidson, Bethel Baptist's pastor for 15 years. "Over the years, we've voted for the lesser of two evils. But I can't vote for someone who's socially liberal, even if he's fiscally conservative."

When even men of faith lose their confidence in the electoral process, then you know the media elitists have done their job well.

What is the big surprise or dilemma here?
Anytime one makes a decision such as voting, it may be tough. The choices may be bad. That's the way it is.

We faced a similar situation here in NY, with Lazio vs. Clinton. When it came down to it, I pulled the lever for Lazio with no problem. The practicalities of the matter took over completely.

It isn't the people who vote their conscience who are the problem. Why can't the pragmatists be pragmatic and support a genuine conservative for a change? McClintock received more votes in the last election than any other Republican. Yet the GOP won't support him. Why? Because they don't want the party to be controlled by genuine conservatives who can't be bought off, that's why.

I'll vote for McClintock just to show he has a base of support," said Ray Fagan, 61, a semi-retired minister from Anaheim. Sounds lofty, but it is irresponsible. Pastor, your gesture will support Cruz Bustamante and the Democratic party.
There is only one question: who would be better for the working families of California? Schwarzenegger, or Bustamante?
For the honest person who's kept up on the facts, it's a relatively simple choice.

Didn't Jesus "pick the better half" in the story with Martha? Fellow Christian, just take the better deal. Who will give you more Christian value for your vote, Arnold or snoz? 'nough said?
To: NormsRevenge
Hey, what's wrong with these fundies? So what if Arnold supports sodomy, gay liberation, and cutting heads off babies? He's a Republican, isn't he?
