Damn kids should be in school. Even on Saturday?
Yeah, I'm waiting for my first one, too. :)

Hard to believe, as I've never seen a par 3 as an opening hole on any regular course. There is a course close to Austin TX that used to have #10 as a par 3. Several years ago, they reversed the course and now # 1 is a par 3. I liked it much better starting on a long par 5 the way it was in the 80s.

They only count for handicaps when combined with another nine hole round played during a certain alotted period of time.Correct. But they count. And nine hole handicaps are common for nine hole leagues.
Anyway, the hole in one counts. The only time it wouldn't would be if a person was practicing, ie, playing the same par three over and over.

I have had three of them. Two of them were shot while in a hole in one club. 1st one was worth $1900, 2nd was worth $2600. The 3rd cost me only a few bucks in beers at a public course. :^}

Now he's hooked for life, faced with a future of nothing but decades of frustration. Could have been worse... he didn't fall in love

"Whle I don't golf I once experienced a similar situation on a first date. I never played that course again though..." How many swings did it take you to land the shot? How many holes into the round did it take to get the hole in one? Did you "finish" your round in under four hours? What type of "club" were you using?
Answers, answers -- reasonable people need answers! ;)

He better quit while he's ahead. His game can only go downhill.

Never understood this stupid game Riding in the golf cart and drinking beer always sounded like fun, but the rest? Bah!

Reminds me of when I went bowling one night at the Marine Corps base in 29 Palms. Hadn't bowled since I was a kid. My first two balls were for strikes. It was about another year before I threw a strike again!

What type of "club" were you using? Oddly enough it was a one hole course that was completely free of traps. I played it in less than ten minutes, ...I recall the carpet was quite lush. I sometimes wonder whatever became of that course.

"What type of "club" were you using?" No doubt one with extra "stiffness."
