Have I told you lately that I love you.... ;)
How is it that we can go through life taking for granted all of those wonderful people that make life worth living, without ever telling them? How could we be so distracted that we overlook the importance of the devotion, caring, and warmth that our loved ones provide?
What would you do if tomorrow they were simply gone, vanished ..forevere..? How would you feel? What was the last thing you said to them? What would you say to bring them back? What would you do differently?
What if I told you that it isn't too late to say what you really feel to all of the special people that make such a difference in your world.....
...and to all of those special souls that are waiting for us...
Tell them... tell them now...
Have I told you.. how much I love you Freepers..
well, just in case.. I'm telling you now... I love you.... sealed with a kiss

Can anyone reading these posts deny that FReepers are the most amazing people in the world? There isn't a website anywhere on the WWW were you can find such warmhearted, intelligent, savvy.. stubborn, funny, wacky folks to gather in one place, that have so little yet so much in common... I, for one, can't deny it. Folks here pull together for each other when needed, that's for sure. Just check the Prayer Threads to see how they're right there in times of need, or the USO Canteen and the Operation Infinite FReep threads for the support shown for our troops and their family members. FReepers come from all walks of life, all age groups, and make this the best darned site on the 'net.
Sheeesh.. I hope none of the guys from my old neighborhood in Chicago, are reading any of my squishy posts, I'll never be able to go back home again... :)
Aaaaaaaah....don't worry about those guys. You've got us and we like ya just they way you are. :-)

I'll never forget the kind words you extended to me on the first father's day after my father had passed away. You are truly a great guy.

Shalom!
Hi...Carlo,
You are a Wonderful Man and a Good Dad!
If more parents would hug and kiss their Children, and give their time to have a real relationship with them...instead of "buying them off" with USELESS / MINDLESS THINGS then maybe the Youth of today wouldn't be in such a Big mess.
Your son will grow up to be a fine, caring Young Man.
May GOD Bless you both, and give to him safe traveling Mercies, in Yeshua / Jesus' Name.
Amen & Amen.

Thanks for the reminder. I don't say it enough.
My two boys live many miles away and I do miss seeing them and my grandkids.
I'm going to call them today and tell them how much I love and miss them.
My wife always ends a phone conversation with her girls or in person with "I Love You".
A habit I sorely need to acquire.
BTW.. Tomorow it's BBQ baby back ribs cooked low and slow.

Sorry to hear this. Particularly poignant for me to read since we nearly buried mine after a serious car accident 6 weeks ago. My heart goes out to you.

Oh Carlo, bless your heart. I can remember reading one of your posts and, as I often do, taking a trip to your homepage and then the link you had on it. I can remember think what a warm-hearted, genuine person you looked like and I enjoyed reading the contents of the site and about your passion for cooking. And it's what I always remember now when I see any posting by carlo3b;-)
I feel very much the same as you, except I am new to this, well sort of. I found FR not long after making the gradual transition from raving liberal to conservative. It was helpful to have a refuge from liberal friends, comments, etc. I've tried to keep my time in check on FR since I'm still dealing with younguns who I homeschool, but I can't help everytime I take a break at the computer to take a quick glimpse here. I don't know anyone personally, but I recognize a lot of names and it's nice to come here and see those same names day after day, even the ones I disagree with regularly--LOL.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
My older brother passed away over a year ago. He was a walking library.
I often catch myself thinking 'I'll call Charles and ask his opinion'.
My deepest sympathy.
