Dutch Group Forms Website to Allow Anyone on the Planet to Vote in 2004 US Elections
The World Votes ^ | August 29, 2003 | nwrep

Posted on 08/29/2003 1:11:51 PM PDT by nwrep

A group of 3 Dutch private citizens has formed an internationalist website called The World Votes to register worldwide choices in the 2004 Presidential Elections.

This is an obvious attempt to highlight the unpopularity of President Bush among the America-hating, envious, statist citizens of the UN-worshipping world. As election day draws closer, expect these clowns to be featured on important news stories worldwide in an effort to influence public opinion in the United States.

They are hoping to show that voting for Bush is an extremely unfavorable choice among the "world citizens", thereby dissuading the US citizens from voting for Bush, and instead, casting a ballot which better reflects the opinion of the World.

Great opportunity to Freep the polls, but expect to be overwhelmed by about 500-1 as election day approaches.

No news here. The Democrats get campaign money and actual votes from non-citizens all the time, especially in California.

To American adults, these children seem pretty stupid. The more the Socialists expose their venom, the more votes the Republicans get.
I'd say it's going to back fire. I believe Americans will be offended by the busybodys in other countries. They have no business to butt in on our national elections.
In my opinion, normal Americans are above that type of nonsence, and are too proud a people to decide their votes by using an insane, time wasting poll on the internet.
Nobody would want the worlds fruit cakes to choose our presidents for us (except for the communist leftist extremists).

Remember, the Bible says "fear not" 365 times, one "fear not" for each day of the year.

Not bloody likely. It will only tick the majority of Americans off.

And freak some out to the point they'll become Republicans within seconds of hearing about it.

"Aren't these the same people that came up with the bright idea of WOODEN SHOES? "

OK, ~YOU~ try running around a country ~mostly~ below sea level in fabric/leather shoes. See how long they last! ;)

Besides that, soft-soled fabric shoes don't make for good Klompen Dancing! They're too quiet!

Hi right, in our voters pamphlet there is a Michele Reich - lots of military experience. I heard last night at a board meeting that he actually is a man. Don't know if the sex change operation has been done or is just in the planning stage. He looks a bit like Tootsie.

Aren't these the same people that came up with the bright idea of WOODEN SHOES?

I am told that they are normally worn with thick woolen socks and are surprisingly comfortable.

This is a laughable attempt to influence the US election. I think the liberal media will latch on to this, reporting the world vote is not boding well for Mr Bush.

---> AND the results of the world poll can be released early announcing Bush as looser BEFORE US elections are over, causing some voters to NOT cast their votes.

When these yahoos start paying income tax to the US in the same porportions as I do, then I might consider this a valid vote. until then, NO. Its a Joke.

I do think this means we must now have a site to vote in all EU elections, and announce the results like it meant something.

Theworldvotes.org is a Dutch initiative.
At this moment, the Theworldvotes team exists of:

Wiebe de Jager
Bart Lacroix
Bouwe Westerdijk

Websites all look the same size on a screen... this "Dutch group" consists of three block heads. They will get more activity due to publicity than interest.
