Madonna and Britney Spears have stunned pop fans with a sizzling snog at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The fortysomething pop queen puckered up and planted a passionate kiss on Britney's lips before giving Christina Aguilera some lip service of her own as she sang her single Hollywood.
Former Mouseketeer mates Britney and Christina had opened the show with a gyrating rendition of Madonna's hit Like a Virgin. The Material Girl then joined them on stage for a saucy show.
Down to business
And so another year of MTV's annual celebration of music videos was ushered in in true rock star fashion.
Rapper Missy Elliott, teen heart throb Justin Timberlake, singer Beyonce Knowles and rapper 50 Cent were the night's big winners.
Elliott took the evening's top honour, Best Video of the Year, and also won Best Hip-Hop Video for her song Work It.
Knowles won Best Female Video, Best R&B Video and Best Choreography for Crazy in Love while rapper 50 Cent won for Best Rap Video and Best New Artist for In Da Club.
Timberlake won Best Pop Video, Best Dance Video and Best Male Video - a category in which he beat Johnny Cash, 71, a rock and roll legend old enough to be his grandfather.
Cash, who was not at the Radio City Music Hall ceremony due to illness, was nominated for six awards but only won Best Cinematography for Hurt.
Brit Winners
British bands Coldplay and Radiohead were recognised with four awards.
Coldplay, who won Best Group Video, Best Direction in a Video and Breakthrough Video for The Scientist, also performed live in what was described as a highlight in the star line-up.
Radiohead won the award for Best Art Direction in a Video for There There.
Other winners at the ceremony included punk band Linkin Park for Best Rock Video, rockers Good Charlotte for the Viewers' Choice award and rapper Eminem for Best Video from a Film.
British pop band Duran Duran, which began making videos even before MTV started broadcasts 20 years ago, won a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards were voted on by a pool of music industry executives, producers and journalists.

(Maybe Madonna's trying to drain their life essence.)

Remember, always search before posting! This thread looks ok to me.
Both threads are from different sources with similar but not identical content. If subject matter is at question, then there are numerous threads that would be considered duplicate posts, e.g. 10 Commandments, Laci Peterson, Arnold, etc.

Under no circumstance should Timberlake ever beat Johnny Cash for anything.

Britney apparently is laying the seeds of her upcoming "movie" career. How many misguided young women will follow her misguided lead? The other night, I was channel surfing, when I saw on the guide that "Crossroads" was on... OK, it's an awful movie... Ralph Macchio as "a Bluesman?" Yeah, right. But Joe Seneca is good, Steve Vai rocks during the "head cutting" scene, Jaime Gertz is cute, and I love Ry Cooder's blues. I immediately changed channels, and what did I see? Brittnay Spears singing! Ack!!! I didn't realize that she did a movie, let alone one called "Crossroads."

Unfortunately, these people don't dry up and blow away. They have unique talents for staying in our faces aided and abetted by the media.
Do the depraved Klintoons ever dry up and blow away no matter how many of us try to ignore them? Not on your life.
Judging by the length and fervor of the live awards thread last night, even conservatives are titillated by the leftist freak shows and fail to connect the dots.
I even doubt if more than a handful of folks will actually take the two seconds needed to freep the Gap's posted email link. Those of us who do are just "silly" and should blow the whole thing off.

Midget tryants like the Clintons thrive on political power, entertainment figures thrive on attention.
Al Franken's book would already be on the discount rack if not for the attention FOX's lawsuit brought them.
Madonna would've faded away LONG ago had not she been feeding on publicity the outrage she evokes generates.

BY THE WAY: Madonna's daughter was onstage for this performance. She was one of the girls in the 'wedding ceremony' who came out at the beginning of the performance.

given the subject matter, "came out" is an interesting choice of words.

While the press go wild for Madonna's threesome with Britney and Christina, none of them have seemed to notice that Madonna's daughter Lourdes was also performing on stage. Lourdes and a friend (Ingrid Casares daughter) were the two flower girls at the wedding ceremony and they came complete with BOY TOY buckles!

Eminem gets in on the act! She locked lips with Britney. She locked lips with Christina. And the controversial pop diva Madonna was still on a kissing roll - finishing her night at the MTV Video Music Awards by planting one on rapper Eminem.
