The Left Hates the Church because any immutable standards impede the Left's remaking of the world into the infinitely maleable 'utopia' they will control.
The author gets very close to making this point, when he says:
"Blow evinces mock outrage that the Church would presume to tell her followers that their beliefsabout ultimate reality, good and evil, and the purpose of the universe"
That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it.

Left, right, same difference. Fact is, both are waging a war upon Christians at this very moment, and that is the point. They are looking for upheaval. I personally am not a christian, but the "persecution" of Christians will soon become a major reality in an attempt to stir up the christian populus of the United States AND abroad..

Why does the left hate the church??
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
