Hillary: She's Now Open to 2004 Prez Bid
New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has subtly but carefully altered her stance on running for president in 2004.
Senator Clinton has made some revealing statements while on her book tour in Europe that indicate she is moving to a 2004 run.
During her trip to London this weekend, Mrs. Clinton hinted during a television interview that a 2004 run "might happen."
Appearing Friday on BBC Channel 4's "Richard and Judy Show," Mrs. Clinton was pressed on whether she might challenge President Bush as early as next year.
"You never know what might happen," she told the TV duo, after first dismissing as "rumors" reports that she was considering a run in 2004.
The day before, Mrs. Clinton was challenged by BCC radio interviewer Martha Kearney, who complained that the top Democrat's often-repeated answer that she has "no intention" of running for president in either 2004 or 2008 "doesn't really rule anything out, does it?"
"Well, but it is as close as I can come," Mrs. Clinton responded.
In previous interviews with American reporters, the former first lady had been unequivocal about not running in 2004. "Absolutely, I'd say no," she told ABC's Barbara Walters, who asked last month if she'd accept a draft.
Pressed on her plans for 2008, Mrs. Clinton dispensed with her usual "no intention" denial altogether, telling Kearney, "Well, 2008 is a long - you know, you cover politics - that's an eternity in American politics. But I think that the role I'm playing, trying to bring attention to issues, trying to get people to focus on what's at stake, is a very appropriate role for me."
Just three weeks ago, when asked by ABC's Barbara Walters if she might run in 2004, Mrs. Clinton's denial was rock solid.
But sinking poll numbers for President Bush, continuing weakness in the U.S. economy, and the failure of a clear Democratic front-runner to emerge -- all may be factors leading Mrs. Clinton to re-think her plans for 2004.

The minute she announces, then within a week Dick Cheney should be allowed to "retire" and Condoleeza Rice" step in as Bush's Runningmate...If that's how the dems are going to play it, then the Republicans need to be READY and able to counter her advance with their own!

If she does get the nomination, and she will, FReepers are going to go thru hell this election cycle. This one will make 2K look like a back yard barbeque. They are going to rip and tear at us 24/7 till election day. I think we'll win but the aftermath will look like a butcher barn.
We gotta be tougher and more united behind our president than ever before or she wins and you all know what that would mean.
For one, there go the courts. No justice for the next 20 years. She'll nominate Molly Yard for SCOTUS for crying out loud.

Mrs. Clinton, "Did you hire Craig Livingstone?". This a yes or no question.
Mrs. Clinton, "Did you have hundreds of files removed from the FBI to the WH?" This is a yes or no question.
Mrs. Clinton, "Did you put the billing records in the White House?". That is a yes or no question.
Mrs. Clinton, "Did you have the travel office personal fired?". That is a yes or no question.
We could go on and on with these simple questions if she runs. Ahhhhhummmm, we are tired of "I don't remember" from a senator.

I suspect a Bush vs Shrillery election will result in a victory for the beast.Nope, not a chance. The witch will be seen for exactly what she is and won't stand a chance. No one with any sense would choose her to lead this country. America would not survive with her at the helm. Many options to solve the problem would open.

Is it just me, or does it seem calculated that this "limited admission" takes place in Europe, first?
Why doesn't she run for President of France? Oh, wait... they probably have a rule about carpetbaggers in France, don't they?

If she does run someone will get rich selling "HITLERY URINAL STRAINERS". Anyone know if anyone is selling them now?
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
Hillary does not lie...
She has said in the recent past "I have no intentions" of running for president.
She waaass sooooo believable to me.

No one with any sense would choose her to lead this country. That may be true, but irrelevant.
The voting booth is not limited to those who have sense.
Consult Florida history, circa 2000, for proof.

Let her run. She will lose in a huge landslide. Naysayers aside, she has no chance in hades of beating anyone. Even Dole could have beaten her. Besides, it will finally get the Clintoons out of the limelight once she loses. No one will have a reason to suck up to them after her defeat.
