Local gay and lesbian advocates said they are worried that Storms could prompt a backlash of homophobia in a usually tolerant city. heh.

This Southern Decadence thing is beyond me anyway. Gay or straight, I really don't want to watch people "bump uglies" in public.

Somehow I think the parade won't really be the "climax" of the event...

I do not see how public sex is providing us any welfare or adding truth to the situation.... more like structuring the public culture according to their disgusting structured addictions ... as opposed to sex being a genuine means of continued deeper discussion between two people loving each other, sex in public shuts the communication and these adolescent behaviors allienate the nation in general.

Gay celebration stirs controversy Promoters warn against public sex
Let me get this straight. Yesterday we have the Ten Commandments removed from a public place by authorities, and now we have a gay celebration in the French Quarter, including public sex - I am at a loss of words.

""We are really gearing up for what could possibly be a rise in hate crimes in this period," said Jack Carrel""
So this threat that there could be straight violence against the gays acting obscenely is always used and generally shuts-up most conservative people. Let the gays do what they want -- heck it worked with AIDS.
The real message is gays can do what ever they want and you all be dammed. If the hate-crime thing doesnt work theyll use the ACLU to sue the police, judges and businesses.

Drat, I guess there will be no fisting out on the street.
It is always amusing to see what they can stuff up their poop shoots.

..."This really has been a good year for gay rights......and a bad year for family values.
I hope Americans have a long memory and a desire to reverse these "achievements" made by these perverts.
If all parents were interested enough to know that it is their children these sodomists desire, we might have a fighting chance.
