Please see my post above. A Federal Judge in Tampa has ordered an emergency hearing for this coming Tuesday to address the poor care Terri received at Hospice. Terri's legal team is blaming the husband and hospice. Additionally, they cannot get any medical info or see Terri. Go to Bay News 9's web site if it's on line. Over and out. FV

Thanks for posting about the Federal Court Hearing on Tuesday. I mentioned it too but you brought the documentation. I think it's fine to keep everything on this thread instead of starting new ones. All the best contact information is right here.

Good job.

Honestly .. Judge Greer distrubs me the most about this case .. HE is the one that is suppose to look out for Terri's rights and he is totally ignoring her.

Felos claims to be spiritual. I was wondering if he was a scientologist. They've settled in Dunedin in addition to downtown Clearwater. Not condemning them but, I get a feeling that he's a scientologist. They don't like meds.

Hold on to your hat. The husband's attorney's email address that is here somewhere is something like spiritual george. Attorney Felos thinks that he himself is spiritual. I think he's Attorney Kevorkian with a Bar License instead of a medical license. Anybody who doesn't have a Will or a Living Will is fair game for Attorney Felos. He just needs the spouse to make up testimony and find a Judge like Greer and a hospice to warehouse the person without the Living Will until the date of starvation. It's like a horror movie.

None of us have approached this from a religious viewpoint because this is a case of mismanagement of a human being and about right and wrong. It would be a heinous crime to starve Terri Schiavo, a disabled woman.

Perhaps you missunderstood me.
I certainly thank Jeb Bush for his on record efforts on behalf of Terri Shiavo.I do not condemn him for not acting sooner, as it is obvious he can not commute her death sentence to a life sentence, by virtue of his authority as Governor.
I generally trust the motives of Jeb Bush, in his position as my state Governor.I voted for him,and also have "bought the teeshirt".
It is my understanding that there is not much Jeb Bush can legally actually do in Terri's case.
That scares me a little.OK that scares me a lot!
We vote for judges in Florida, but nobody knows where they stand on anything.Trying to get information on them is an exercise in futility. The judicial branch at all levels of government is a crap shoot, as far as the available information to the voting public is concerned.
This is Florida.
People are accustomed to confronting cockroach infestations, when the lights come on, at odd hours.
We can call an exterminator for actual insects. What can we do about human variants who have achieved power?

Hospoice are the ones who are supposed to starve Terri after Judge Greer's Sept. 11 hearing when he sets the date to remove the feeding tube.

But, there's an EMERGENCY HEARING IN FEDERAL COURT this Tuesday. At least there's a Federal Court Judge with a brain. They deal with discrimination cases. If this isn't discrimination, then I don't know what is. Federal Court = scissors and Judge Greer = paper. Stay tuned.

The federal judges in Tampa are straight shooters. Terri's legal team has put in countless hours - Ms. Andersen deserves a lot of credit. Further, we haven't stopped to analyze how many freepers and our non-freepers friends jumped on the bandwagon to help Terri.

I know Terri is getting good care when she's at Morton Plant Hospital but at this point, can anyone really trust the hospice in St. Pete?

Atty Andersen alleged in her motion for the emergency hearing that the hospice was to blame for her raging infections.

This thread is going to be running for the info at the beginning and for updates. Stay tuned.

Thanks for your reassurance that she is in your prayers. I have devoted some time to this today and hope to have time tonight at work to beg God's mercy for this woman.

The thought that she may be die soon without communion and then be cremated brought me to tears earlier on this thread. I cannot imagine the pain her parents must be suffering.

Is this the first hearing in federal court? Do you have any idea the name of the judge? I know the hospice is supposed to starve Terri to death. They did it to my father-in-law. Morphine and nothing by mouth. Took about 3 weeks. If I knew then what I know now it would never have happened. Thank you for the info!

Every time I made a positive entry about any responsiveness of Terri's, someone would remove it after my shift ended.

UM, I believe this is against the law? Charts are legal records. Someone needs to get on top of this - rnmom? Is this not against the law???

Are there more nurses coming forward?

Here is another nurse's name, in this Newsday article.

[Terri's] parents visited about once a month, said a nurse, Diane Gomes, who cared for Terri at Palm Gardens nursing home in Largo almost every day from 1994 to 1996. But Michael, Gomes remembered, "was there every day," eight hours a day

When Michael visited Terri, he always came alone and always had the door closed and locked while he was with Terri. He would typically be there about twenty minutes or so. When he left Terri would be trembling, crying hysterically, and would be very pale and have cold sweats. It looked to me like Terri was having a hypoglycemic reaction, so I'd check her blood sugar. The glucometer reading would be so low it was below the ragne where it would register an actual number reading. I would put dextrose in Terri's mouth to counteract it. This happened about five times on my shift, as I recall.

In most states you can purchase insulin over the counter and it is certainly easy enough to administer. Where is the law on this? They need to have video of him alone with her.

Hopefully, the real truth will completely come out. Some detectives should be able to find those files somewhere to verify this story. Or perhaps they were shredded. I keep praying and hoping that we won't be too late for Terri! Good work everyone!

It sounds to me like she has a serious case of pneumonia, so commonly the cause of death in cases like this. I read somewhere that she had been dxed with it recently and rec'd some treatment, but the treatment had been halted after a few days - and that this was about a week before she most recently became ill again.

I don't have good feelings about her immediate prognosis, without antibiotics at least, soon. It sounds like a textbook case of pneumonia which was responding to treatment but perhaps returned with a vengeance when treatment was halted. Her parents should get ahold of some broad spectrum antibiotic, grind it up and sneak it into her feeding tube.

I hope the monster at least allows her morphine as she struggles to breathe, if it comes to her dying from this. What a sick, sadistic, evil man he seems to be.

Thank you, all of you, for your dedicated work towards helping Terri! Her so-called "husband" sounds like a huge jerk! I hope he knows that at some point, he will pay for what he's done to Terri. If not, he better wish he could talk with that priest when his due time comes!
