The Dems finally get to show off the one thing they're good at - mudslinging.

If that's the worst that is available, then I don't see a problem. I'm surprised it wasn't worse...

you know what? I was doing the same things back in '77

I was raised at the tail end of the 'sexual revolution' where people who should have known better were teaching that 'if it feels good, do it'

I grew out of it. You would think you would not have to learn on your own that 'virtue is it's own reward' but it is amazing when you finally do.

First of all this is ugly stuff, and it is what the rats said they were going to do, and it stinks! Second of all, most Californians are not any less disgusted by this than the rest of you. How ridiculous of freepers to say such things as if we are all a bunch of sexed up pot heads with no morals. I for one am sick to death of this kind of thing on FreeRepublic.

OUI, OUI: ARNOLD PUMPS UP ORGIES AND DOPE IN '77 SHOCK INTERVIEW

What was Cruz Bustamante doing in 1977 while under the sway of MEChA? Calling for the overthrow of the U.S. Government? I love this side of Arnold. What a fun governor he will make. Just the star value itself will bring large economic benefits to the state.

Arnold's exploits are not what concerns me. Every male in his position would party and experiment. I will not vote for him because he's in favor of the unconstitutional assault weapon ban.

Arnold on his future movie career:

"I realize there's only one Arnold in the word, that there's never been an Arnold before, and the one thing that won't work on the screen is my being an a**-kicker."

LOL!

These are quite similar to the sort of revelations that got Clinton pillored 24/7 by FReepers in 1998.

But here they're cheering Arnie on.

Either excuse both men for this sort of activity, or condemn both. Don't be brazen, blazing hypocrites.

I think the fact that the post count is around 400 for a 3 hour old thread shows that this "revelation" about Arnold is indeed a big deal. I'm curious how the rest of the media will handle this and what kind of affect this will have on his candidacy.

"In 1999 Schwarzenegger told George magazine of his bitterness about the frenzy over Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton and the waste of time and energy it represented. 'That was another thing I will never forgive the Republican party for," he said. 'I was ashamed to call myself a Republican during that period.'"

Well, now we know why Arnie was so quick to defend Bill Clinton.

They're soulmates.

Amazing that the people who brought this country to the point of excusing what went on in the Oval Office in the 90s now want to turn the tables and try to shame Ahnuld for what he did as a single man...

1977? The Democrats truly are stuck in the '70's. That must be why they're still trying to get Mondale elected...

I did some things back in the '70's I would be ashamed to admit now.

Why release this interview now? It's supposed to damage Arnold's campaign, but this is the week before Labor Day. Just about everybody is on vacation and nobody is really paying that much attention to the news.

Well, hellsbells, libs teach us to be more like the euros when it comes to sex, drugs and rock & roll, and it is after all Arnold's private life, and why can't we just move on, it is really only between Arnold and his wife.

Arnold was not planning his entire life to become a career politician.

He is open about his past. He is not making excuses, nor is his wife blaming the VLWC for being mean spirited Arnold haters.

Arnold does not need to explain. This is not at all the same as Clinton's perpetual presidential philandering and perjuring.

Appears to me that the desperate democruds are back to puke politics. Only in this case, the puke backfired on them. LOL!!!

The Austrian has done more against the illegal immigrant agenda than most Repubs in office, He will cut many of the socialist programs that are killing ReCallifornia, and will support the President for 04. He can draw a fair number of independent hispanics to the Repub party without selling out. Contrary to myth, most hispanics are not part of the illegal immigrant agenda.

BustaMECHA will add to the fiscal problem, he will be a champion for the Atzlan movement, and will rally the hispanic vote for the demoncrat party.

If this were a recall of a CA State Senate or Congress or Governor of a state that didn't involve much of the illegal immigrant agenda, I would support someone like McClintock over someone like Arnold because it would not damage the conservative cause that much if McClintock like person lost.

The question, is wether or not voting for McClintock and putting Cruz in that powerful of a postion is worth punishing a possible RINO?

I would have to say NO

I read the entire article and found nothing surprising in it. He was a world-famous super-star, women followed him around everywhere, he was part of a quite unique life-style. He also was very self-disciplined in many ways. You cannot compare Mr. McClintock or ANYONE else with him, he was simply one of a kind. Don't any of you remember what a phenomenon he was? I am surprised he didn't do more.
And I will never judge anyone by past mistakes.
Clinton's problem was he never changed, failed to grow up and beyond his adolescent life-style.
Arnold did not lie, he was and is very open. More than most would be about similar past behavior.
And he has moved on.
This has become such a judgmental board with some members, it amazes me some times.
All these high & mighty proclamations about what a true conservative does now, did in the '70's.
I wonder how perfect these people who stand in judgment are and were then, or how they would have handled the fame and success and various opportunites Arnold had in the past and has now.
