Not just supports the Brady bill,
but supports
the "assault weapons ban" and
closing the "loopholes" on gun shows...

so, will California being run by someone who seems to want to secede from the union bother you also? And I don't believe in that slippery slope argument made about assault weapons and waiting periods. Oh, lets not go there.
To: Brian S
I support those issues too. I think you are in a nest including some of your RINOs here.

DAMM IT'S GOOD TO HEAR PLAIN TALK FROM A SOMEONE RUNNING FOR OFFICE!!!! (well er, sort of- you know what I mean...)
I may not agree with ALL of his views above, but I'd take this over any of the others

I wonder where Arnold thinks we should get our oil? Other than no where which might offend the eyes.

Yeah - great arrest! What a tackle and no one hurt I predicted he'd get himself shot. After a REALLY unpredictable situation with that woman and kid.... What on earth.
I was surprised to see cars sticking around.... just stunned at what they are seeing I guess. Lock your car doors always! - I hope I would have the presence to have driven away from anyone who came at me like that, even if I had to drive through another car to do it. I was pleased to see that windows aren't that easy to break.

How significant is the assult-weapon issue in California now? In some states all gun-related stances seem to matter a great deal in elections. I hadn't thought Calif. was one of those but I haven't lived there for over 10 years.

I support those issues too. Well, at least you're honest about it, so we know where you're coming from.
To: BonnieJ
I don't know but maybe in northern California the gun issue is important. Maybe it is important in Watts or someplace where people have a wish for assault weapons.
To: I still care
against legalization of marijuanaWhen he retroactively turns himself in, I'll take him seriously. Till then, Go McClintock!

alot of people on these threads feel the same way, they email me, but get royally flamed for saying so, lectured, hectored, and alot get really turned off by the attempt to have an ideologically pure little bitsy tent here. I decided, hey what the heck, I will say what I think. Now as to your knowing "where I come from", I do hope that does not mean you have blanked me out of your universe of persons on this thread who love this country as much as anyone.
To: cajungirl
Hmmm.. Your right you don't know let's just leave it at that.

I'm guessing of course.
When do think we'll see a debate? It's already the end of August and the election is first week in October. They have just over a 5 weeks to go. How much money is McClintock willing to spend?
What's this Reagan commandment thing? Didn't know ol' Ron was issuing orders from heaven yet.

Which is more important, determining the next gov of CA, or a stupid car chase?
Hannity cuts off interview because he is up against a hard break, but apparently it wasn't that hard, since FNC immediately went to a car chase. The interview was OVER when they switched to the car chase.

Not just supports the Brady bill, California already has a longer waiting period then the Brady Bill, of course if you were in Calfornia you would know that...

That was a cute little interview.. Hannity was soooooo easy on him. Not as easy as I thought he'd be.
I did notice that he failed to ask Arnold about Gay Adoption. A little slip-up (purposeful) on the part of Hannity, IMHO.

Thou shalt not speak ill of fellow republicans or something to that effect.
To: B Knotts
Did he mention 187 specifically? Nope. Hannity referred to "services for illegal immigrants", and Arnold responded with, "well, we have to find out a way to include them..." and "it's really a federal issue..." He certainly dodged that issue.

Hannity is the prototypical checked-pants Republican. He's in favor of Good Things and is against Bad Stuff.
To: cajungirl
McClintock on,,violating Reagan's 11th commandment! No he didn't. He stated that his positions were different from Arnold's, such as on gun rights. I didn't hear him "speak ill" of Arnold in this interview.
