I suport that. Good for you.

I would like to ask you all to please post positive articles about your man's policies and leave the Schwarzenegger bashing to the Democrats. The problem is I don't expect any Democrats to "bash" Ahnold over statements like this:
"I would never stand in the way of any child going to school, whether he or she is here legally or illegally, it does not matter."
- Arnold Schwarzenegger, October 2002
I think it DOES matter whether our tax dollars go to illegals or not. In fact, I can hardly think of a bigger issue facing us today. At this point, I don't see a dimes worth of difference between Arnold and Bustmante.

Well said...
Now back to the Unelectable/RINO discussion...(/sarcasm)

Since I agree with you Ambrose, it's rather painful to have to say for the thousandth time, I will vote for McCintock if he get his numbers up over Schwarzenegger's.
ABC(7) LA came out with a poll today that shows Arnold at 45%, McClintock at 11%. If that is accurate, and only if that is accurate, then what I have been trying to say is coming to pass. Make no mistake about it, I'm not happy about it. I just can't change it.

I think everyday somebody should just post a thread called "Unelectable/RINO" and everyone could just cut and paste their arguments from the previous days instead of spreading them out upon multiple threads. Would save a lot of bandwidth.

Hello Ambrose...
For starters, I can see 8 Billion reasons that Arnold is better than Cruz. Although you did say dime, so perhaps I overshot it a little...
I think what D1 is saying is that we have all heard the RINO / Unelectable comments and at this point circling the wagons and aiming outwards instead of inwards appears prudent...

What would be really refreshing, is to see the graphics aimed at Cruz Tax-alot-tay and the soon to be removed Governor...

How about a load of graphics with Cruz and Davis?
Just a thought...

"McClintock seems to buy into the big-government agenda of regulating private lives. McClintock's not as bad as some, but he does seem more inclined than Schwarzenegger to have government intrude in areas that it should stay out of."
Do you have some particular information to back up this comment? I ask because I see him just the opposite. For instance, he's very 2nd Amendment and unlike Arnold, hasn't called for taxpayer funds to pay for entertaining other people's children (Prop 49).

Unelectable! RINO! Unelectable! RINO!
Hey, this reminds me of those "Tastes Great! Less Filling!" commercials.

I see the same poll numbers. Look, the "vote for Ahnold because he's leading in the polls" contingent isn't limited to the Free Republic. Pollsters have found incredibly soft support for Arnold, and much of that support is premised on his supposed ability to win. So what comes first? The chicken or the egg?
And I happen to believe that if anything, McClintock helps rather than hurts Arnold. It keeps principled conservatives interested in the recall who will turn out to vote yes on the recall, and yes for McClintock. I imagine that if McClintock were to drop out, many conservatives would either note vote at all, or would vote against the recall entirely. McClintock doesn't take votes away from Ahnold beause I'd wager that many McClintock supporters will not for Ahnold under any circumstances.

I agree. I've got a few in mind I'll be posting for Cruz.
Davis is toast... LOL
70% of Californian's polled said this state is headed in the wrong direction. Poll ending yesterday...
To: DoughtyOne
I'm with you that a short time after the 17th is D-day!
At that point two candidates need to leave and back the front-runner.

Ambrose, I appreciate these thoughts. I'm just going to close by saying that I'd rather go back to agreeing with you on most things, even about who we would like to see as governor. Take care. Sorry I pushed my point so forcefully.

In the local paper yesterday some enthusiastic Arnold supporters were interviewed. The demographic? 18-20 year old Hispanics who are not registered to vote and have no intention of voting in the recall election. But they think it would be cool to have the Terminator as Governor.

We've all gotten carried away. Short of a McClintock victory, our best hope is to keep Team Arnold's feet to the fire. Notice that Arnold never appeared on any of the conservative radio shows until McClintock started to pull double digits in the polls?

A little explanation for the uninformed, please? No one can question McClintock on this thread, but I just left an Arnold S thread, and you guys were all over it with rants, naysayer negativity and inane comments. Could someone help me with the rules... Much obliged. Go for it man, but remember real conservatives are the best debators.

(It's time for Arnold to stop splitting the Republican vote and step aside for the good of the party)

I think that this is a great call for peace that you have made here. I agree that there has been too much "bashing" here, if you are referring to name-calling, flame wars, accusations of being DU operatives, etc.
I also agree that much more focus should be placed on positively presenting each candidate's issues and experience, and that we should have threads which are "safe" for maintaining this positive atmosphere. But, I also think that it is fair in certain threads to criticize the candidates on the issues and experience (without resorting to "RINO"/"McNader" type epithets). Questions/criticisms along the lines of "I can't vote for a guy who would do x," or "How is he going to implement y?" are legitimate, IMO. They can even be helpful, I think, if they spur us on to discover more about our favorite candidate and then defend him on his merits.
