causing her to die by starvation and dehydration.

Is anyone else disturbed she must be starved to death? I know many here don't go along with Kevorkian, but is there not a kinder way to let people go? This saddens me, imagine how the family must feel?

I just went through this with my mother and 2 aunts. All 3 of them lost the ability to eat, and they went peacefully in a few days.

Most of the euthenasia movement doesn't go along with Kevorkian, he gave them a bad name and they're glad he's behind bars.

We almost went through this with my grandmother. She was real sick and on the resperator which was a direct violation of her living will, but the doctor told us that if whe was going to get better she'd be off it in a week. So our decision was that either way the respirator would be gone in a week, luckily she recovered well enough to be taken off it by day 6. Nasty nasty week.

Bushnell said, according to a March 24, 2000, court order by Judge Greer, the Schindlers were "prohibited from photographing, taking videos, or taking any other like pictorial representations of the Ward, or causing same to be taken by other persons, without prior approval of this court."

This Judge is amazing .. he refuses to order tests done on her .. he refuses any therapy to help her improve her life ... he refuses to help her in any way possible .. he seems hell bent on killing this women.

I could understand if she truely was a complete vegetable and was hooked up to all kinds of tubes, but she is not .. and what this Judge has order is nothing but murder IMO

If you read the related articles, this is a shocking story that has received no media attention.

- There are hints that foul play on the part of her husband was involved, explaining his eagerness to see her go and refusal to let her receive therapy.

- The husband spent all of the malpractice award intended to pay for her rehabilitation--on his legal fees in the effort to terminate her.

- SHE IS NOT BRAIN DEAD--her heart beats and she breathes on her own, she can say a few words, move her limbs, smile and react to people in the room, and can swallow--yet the judge ordered that no tests be done to see if she can be spoon-fed.

- The judge and court-appointed guardian are preventing the family priest from visiting or administering Catholic sacraments.

- Read the related articles to see more outrageous behavior on the part of lawyers and the courts.

The warnings about the slippery slope involved in giving in to the euthanasia/abortionist cause are coming to pass. This ruling sets a precedent that living conscious human beings can be terminated by a judge's ruling on their 'quality of life', by starvation no less. Thousands of disabled and elderly throughout the country will now be one court order away from death should their guardians find them burdensome.

Now I understand why the courts don't want the Ten Commandments anywhere near the courthouse--this ruling flies in the face of them.
