>>>>I have to tell you that I disagree with your post. Any suggestion that the Southern Poverty Law Center is controlled by or oriented toward "jewish rights" is inaccurate and may come from sources that are more than vaguely anti-semitic. (Mind you, I'm not saying you or your post -- I just don't trust those sources.) A lot of the Klan that the SPLC fought against would make such an argument. I don't think it has factual merit.

This is was the first I've heard of the SPLC. I'm just pulling info now. No facts on my end yet. I do know the ACLU. I have absolutely no love loss for them.

Be careful not to pick up another virus on those sites.

This is a pic outside the front door of the Courthouse and was taken right after the arrests were made.

Hi, Y'all!

Got lots to say today!

first my report:

It was a wonderful two weeks, (except for the heat, but what can you expect from an August in Maryland?)

It was hard not being able to come to FR so I started to listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio (WBAL--Baltimore) from noon til three in the afternoons. I see he's not too crazy about Ahhnold running for Gov of Ca. But he consedes that the Californians have a right to determine thier own destiny in my opinion. I heard those creepy dem prez wannabes whining about the recall and how (unconstitutional it was (mostly voiced by dean and Kerry and those of thier ilk) Now I ask you, what are these clowns doing basically telling the people of California how wrong and stupid they are? This made me hot! I'm not a Californian but I felt like voters like me and them were being insulted and our inteligence held in question. So much for Californina politics. I'm keep you all in my prayers.

BTW, I like Ahhnold. But I wonder about him being the governor. But I trust you in California know what you are doing.

Now back to my vacation, on the 15th thru the 17th I went on my annual retreat with my brothers and sisters in my Secular Franciscan fraternaty. It was a wonderful experiance taking time to renew your commitment to GOD and to build community with the Brothers and Sisters. And to commit myself to living the Gospel.

some humorous thins happened while I was there. Were we were at is in the middle of Amish country (Just 2 miles north of the MD state line in salisbury, PA.) There is an Amish market just inside MD called Yoders. I went there with some of the others. Man, they have a great selection of meats, spices, ect. there!

well, we parked the car and all got out but one woman, she was trapped in the car! LOL!

How it happened was, it was one of those new cars were the driver can control the locking mechanizm and lock the doors at once, we thought that a person still inside could still unlock her door even after the driver had operated the doorlock. Well, we tried to get the door open but I finally had to go into the store and tell the driver that the other woman was stuck.

Then on unday I got stuck in the bathroom! sheesh!

But I had a wonderful time over all.

Last Thursday I went to Annapolis. It was a long time since I was there and a lot has chaged. But annapolis is still a beautiful city, I went to lunch at an 18th century Inn called Reynolds Tavern, it's near the statehouse. Reynolds Tavern was built in the 1740's and was frequented by lots of folks, including George Washington! 8 months ago it was bought by an english couple and is again in operation as a restaurant, tavern and guest house. The food is (to use President Bush's term) FANTASTIC! As is the atmosphere and the service. So if anyone is planning a trip to Annapolis, Md. I highly recommend the Reynolds Tavern. warning: have lots of money, it is expensive but a treat!

Well, I'll tell you all more later as my lunch time is over.
