Russert was in full attack mode against Myers; he has the DNC talking points down to a tee. Myers was a bit flustered at first when Tim essentially asked him why we went to war against a nation that has no WOMD and is not terrorist nation. Myers recovered, but the RATS are clearly on the attack.

Following Myers, McCain and Biden were on MTP (no REAL Republicans there today). Biden was amazing to listen to. We are all wrong on our postwar actions. We need the international community in there, we should have invited them in right after Bush's carrier speech. The UN needs to be in charge of establishing democracy, the UN should be in charge of this, involved in that, etc., international blah, blah, blah. (BTW, since when has the UN been good at setting up democracies?)

McCain contribution was that we need more troops over there, need to spend more money, etc.

Had a USN&WR and LA Times reporters on MTP following the guests. Tim was positively giddy as he read out the latest poll numbers about Bush losing to an un-named Democrat. They pointed to all his negatives now -- bogged down in Iraq, spending way more money than anticipated (unspoken hint at even more deficits), no WOMD found and US troops focus for terrorists all over the mideast, economy is poor (lost more jobs so far than created since 2000), etc. His closing comment, Bush is no certainity for reelection.

The first half hour of the Georgie show discussed Iraq issues and CA recall issues. The second half hour was devoted to Edwards. Georgie has been featuring one of the nine Rat candidates for president each week.

It's a Meg Ryan thing. I can hardly watch any Meg Ryan movie without wanting to grab her and apply a brush. Apparently all liberal movie directors believe ungroomed women project a favored image of "carefree, tolerant, and hip." LOL Poor Meg, even she has said she hates it.

I think you're daydreaming. Arnold has said, he will not be releasing any details or specifics of his economic recovery plan for California, until after the recall election. I guess he means, assuming he wins.

This decision by the Schwarzenegger camp, is bad politics and shows that Arnold is an empty suit.

No! Then again, Blinky Edwards doesn't stand a chance of winning the nomination, and may even lose his seat in North Carolina. Couldn't happen to a better guy! Stephie won't be pumping his numbers up, no matter what he says today. So it's wasting air time, and contributes to the downward spiral of This Week WITHOUT David Brinkley. Bwaahhaahaaa!

Tim is tilting at windmills. So, Timmy, if Bush's reelection isn't a certainty, then who, pray tell, will be the democratic WINNER of the whole thing in 2004? I don't think there's a single winner in the whole pack. The democrats and their big media helpers are whistling past the graveyard. The election is Bush's to lose, and so far NOBODY running with a D is worthy of more than 40% nation-wide. Oh, and by the way, Hillary, if dumb enough to run, would lose big. Just MHO.

Wesley Clark was overheard by Freepers during a commercial break at a Crossfire taping as saying he watches "Bowling for Colombine."

Somehow, that just figures. I remember talking to the crew that brought the Chairman of the JCS over to Europe to fire Clark as SHAPE commander.

The guy couldn't even make it through a Clinton Presidency.
