Gen. Meyers is handling himself very well on Russert's show and reminding viewers that the UN passed many resolutions in Iraq because the UN KNEW that Iraq had WMD.

I saw Harold Ford on Fox & Friends Friday morning. He said he had just gotten back from Iraq. He said that he had thought upon returning he would be criticizing the Bush administration but after he saw Iraq first hand he thought we were making tremendous strides and many things were going right. I was totally shocked.

He was on Fox & Friends directly from the airport. Hence, maybe the party hadn't gotten to him yet. It will be interesting to see if he changes his toon on Fox Sunday this morning.

It seems that while the nation focuses on events over seas, here at home our right to acknowledge God is being removed. aka Alabama and Roy Moore and Alan Keyes at least see that Alabama is where our attention should be. Democrats want it overseas. Just consider who wants your attention where and that alone will tell you that you should be focused on Alabama for at least the next few days. I suggest prayer that the judge and Alan and others taking a stand for our liberty would have the wisdom, strength and courage to do what is right.

I saw him, too, and was completely surprised by what he said. It will be interesting to see if the DNC has changed his response.

He had no tie, and wore jeans because the airline had lost his luggage. Nice to know it can happen to anybody.

I agree maybe with your principle, but consider this demurral:

I fear that a long divided race, in which the McC/Schw camps campaign against each other day after day, week after week, could have a very bad result. Look at FR; the McC fans tend to greet EVERY conservative syllable Schw or an aide speaks with mocking and derision. They rip his supporters as sell-outs, RINO's, compromisers. I'm not even full-out, but even for making a case for Schw, I've been called a supposed, fake conservative -- which is hilarious to anyone who knows me at all.

I could go on, but my point is that days or weeks of two GOP candidates and their supporters bashing EACH OTHER instead of Davis and Bustar, can only be destructive. It diverts money and efforts to in-fighting. It hardens feelings and draws thick lines. Whoever comes out on top may not be supported by those driven to extreme statements and positions.

I might suggest shortening it to a few days or a week, and if Simon dropping out doesn't bring McC (who I'd prefer as governor, if ideology were the only criterion) within 5 points of Schw, he drops out and supports Schw, and Schw takes him as advisor or SOMETHING.

Think about it, tell me your opinion.

Remarkable.I'm listening to Fox...Hamas and Islamic Jihad must be disarmed,disbanded,jailed,killed and Arafat's control of the security forces must end,as he doesn't want a 2 state solution..He wants one,Palestine.

Ford is pushing a bigger UN involvement in Iraq(France won't do it unless they have more control than we are willing to give.)

I've never seen it but may be forced to watch FTN on CBS, just to see Dick Meyers serve Wesley Clark a big glass of shut-up juice.

Wonder if Wesley Clark will tip it off if he's going to throw his hat in the Presidential race as a thread was reporting last night.

Actually I think September was the supposed time for any announcement from Clark.

A Bustamante win would not be the worst thing for Republicans. He is even more of a leftist wacko than Davis. CA would continue its downward spiral with no one but the Dems to blame. If Arnold or any other Republican wins, he will be saddled with the most overwhelming left-wing wacko legislature in the country. It's unlikely he could implement any fixes anyway. But, he would take the blame and the Dems could say that it proves the whole thing was outside their control and continue to blame everyone else.

Ford may be thinking about his future as a politician. You have to think that sooner or later they will catch on to the failures Bill & Hill have brought them.

I am going to watch FTN to see how he does.Some Dems think Clark can be their savior.I am not impressed .
