NEW YORK If Sadiq's father knew that his 19-year-old son was gay, he would kill his son and then himself, says Sadiq, a quiet, neatly dressed Palestinian who attends college in the northeast United States.
Being gay in the United States has never been easy. But being gay and Muslim, especially after Sept. 11, 2001, requires homosexuals to defend their religious identity in the face of an increasingly suspicious U.S. government and their sexual orientation amid hostility from the conservative Islamic community. [snip]
But some gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Muslims are finding a safe haven in Al-Fatiha, a Washington, D.C.-based group that was founded in 1998 to support those who want to reconcile their sexual orientation with Islam.
Religious scholars said Islam's prohibition of homosexuality rests on the story of Lut in the Koran, also known as Lot in the Bible. According to some interpretations, God destroyed the city of Sodom after residents demanded that Lut turn visiting men over so they could have sex with the strangers.
Abdullah disagrees with that interpretation. But for traditional religious leaders such as Imam Omar Abu Namous of the Islamic Cultural Center in New York, homosexuality is condemned by God.
"The Koran is against any homosexual relationship. It says that God is against male with male relationships, as well as woman with woman," Abu Namous said.

Thousands of Americans died on 9-11 and the ones who have suffered worst are homosexual Muslims.

How are the leftists going to force Iraqis to celebrate the gay agenda?
When stuff like that starts happening, then we WILL be oppressing the Iraqis.
What will be the reaction of religious nations when leftists imperialistically strip away their faith? Force feminism on them? Etc, etc...

Isn't the left the ones who keep telling us that we can't force democracy on Iraq?

They have also had meetings about how to open Planned Parenthood offices in Afghanistan.

I'd like to see Patricia Ireland on the streets of Baghdad, trying to rally support for abortion.

Somebody should do a usage search on the word "transgendered", before this year I'd never heard it and this has to be the millionth time I've seen it this year.

Yeah, like being gay in USA is harder than being a Jew in Saudi Arabia.

Um, its next on the agenda list, that is all.
I myself have noticed another media trend - calling illegal immigrants "undocumented", as if they somehow their dog ate their paperwork.

Wow, I just watched DUNE an hour ago. Held up pretty good. Someday there will be a protected class of "trans-humans." You just gave somebody an idea.
To: WOSG
Sorta like "diversity." etc. It just drives me nuts, the robotic "journalist."
To: churchillbuff
Well there a new spin on Muslims that want to "blow you away"
