Well there are a few trolls on this thread alright, but you're going to have to excuse us for determining for ourselves who they are. Ta ta...

"It must be very comforting to have things sorted out in such a narrow, cut and dried simplistic fashion."
Yes. As long as you remember "he who forgets history is doomed to repeat it", things become very clear. ;-)

I don't know anything about the internal polling, but I would be very surprised if Simon wasn't getting at least 6% just because he has high name recognition.

Good point, too. That's why I think the RNC is taking a wait and see stance.
I also think they are pretty confident that the writing is on the wall for Arnold though, too. NordP

"Most of the people on this forum would gladly watch McClintock sworn in on the capital steps." The mainstream Conservatives, yes, the RINOs, no. I, for one, would be MUCH happier with McClintock sworn in on the capitol steps but let's be practical here. As of right now, it doesn't look good for him! I will not make up my personal mind until about October 1 but I have to admit, I like the things Arnold is saying right now. He's no different than Cruz? Will, Cruz is SURE to try to raise taxes, for Arnold, it might happen but unless you can see the future, it isn't clear that he's going to try to raise taxes. I would rather have that level of uncertainty over the certainty of what Busta"meche" would do. FWIW, I think Tom McClintock is a conservative hero in California and I hope he stays in the race until, at least, September 15th to keep Arnold honest to the right wing.

They support RINO candidates because they are RINO's themselves.

Summer, since you have no stake in this race, would you please quite posting for DU on this thread.
To: DoughtyOne
I'm thinking you are the one posting for DU. Not Summer.
After all...you are supporting every cause DU has been promoting!

DoughtyOne, I will graciously bow out, but kindly note I was posting it for PeoplesRep_of_LA, whom I do not believe is affiliated in any way with the Dem site you mentioned.

"Evidently you're not from California. If you are, you should know Arnold couldn't have a negative impact on that bunch of jerks. They've been the weekest link of conservatism for a long long time. California's Republican leadership has been anything but for a decade or more."
You're partly right. We do have weak leadership there (thanks Gerry Parsky/Brooks Firestone), but because they're not FIRM on Conservatism. Ah-nold can and will make it that much worse. Look to MA as the model, that WILL happen with him and his RINO buddies firmly in control. The CA GOP still has federal officeholders and a viable legislative body.

It's been the MASS GOP (the leadership has been) for the last decade and a half. Get with the program sparky.

Gimme a break with the giant-size pictures, would you please?
I'm on a dialup connection, and I'd like to see something else today.
How about linking to any pictures you feel obligated to put up?

Right.....you've had your fun the past two weeks playing "True Conservative", but now it's time to grow and play politics . . . This advice comes from a canadian. You've compromised yourselves into a pc-totalitarian socialistic nanny state where you can go to jail for speaking your mind.

"If Arnold doesn't know he's an old Cotton Whig, does it still count?! LOL!!"
Actually, I'm complimenting Ah-nold by calling him that. At least Cotton Whigs were pro-business. Ah-nold wants to lure business in for the purposes of paying for his Socialistic notions, sure to kill it off.
