A powerful conservative group that pumped $200,000 into Republican Bill Simon's campaign for governor last year endorsed Arnold Schwarzenegger on Friday, saying the actor is the only Republican who can win the recall election to replace Democratic Gov. Gray Davis.

FNC brought up a good point-- as long as he doesn't advocate people vote for himself and only talks about supporting the recall, Arnold may be able to finance a lot of great ads to make sure the recall does pass. The Dems might cry and seek a ruling from the CA Supremes, but they aren't very liberal at all and are inclined to allow it.

I know, what do you think there big hope is?
To get half of Simon's vote or to just get Cruz Bustamante elected over Arnold so the career of McC has more prospects?

Their hope is to be the spoiler. They won't get the money, they don't have the name or the support, but like Buchanan, Keyes, and Nader, they are in it to try to prove a point, and the point will be to spoil this race and make sure all of California suffers.

I think that is right. There are some people who are blinded by their supposed principles.
The battle for California is to be won in steps. Arnold is an early step, not the whole enchilada.

To split the Republican vote is a problem and even if it is 4-6%, that could be enough to elect a Democrat.

Violence is going to be the only cure. Works for rioters, doesn't it?

Violence, Blue Collar Christian??!! I think you need to take your Ambien and Valium and go Ni-Ni...In the meantime, as soon as Tom gets out of the way (and he will) Arnold can wrap this thing up! And, I am a true conservative. But one who is realistic.

I'm talking about war. I don't believe a majority of the people here in CA want the responsibility of living their own lives. When they completely vote freedom of self-defense away, the people with guns will not give them up, leading to shootouts with the authorities that will be massive. Marshal law will prevail and it will be a war scene in which the politicians and their supporters will be hunted down and killed like the dogs they are.

BTW, your reply is not that of a "true conservative", IMHO.
