Bristol, the shortest track on the Winston Cup circuit, also has the highest banking, making for an appealing combination for driver and spectator alike. Added to the schedule in 1961 and resurfaced from asphalt to concrete in 1992, Bristol's attendance has increased from 18,000 to well over 150,000.

Let's see, 43 cars, 2 are team mates.
Hey Dog, ever see 40 cars do a bump and run at the same time!

Thanks for the answer Don.
BTW, who would have ever thought a race would have been sponsored by a "PEN"?

Hi guys: I wonder how many fenders has Jimmy Spencer dented or how many bumpers has he given the chrome horn to, or how many has he spun out intentionally? From what I have seen over the past three years or so he's done his share and none of those drivers ever got out of the car and punched him.
I think he was wrong.

Thanks for the ping.....how many wrecks will there be tonight?
I'm going for Harvick, Rocket Ryan, Junior and Busch!!!

The joke is JImmy never forgets but Jimmy plays the game like everyone else. Kurt is the one who maintains that he is above the game. You must bow to Kurt.

I am talking about Kurt's team mates, Martin and Burton. They are the only two who won't bump and run him.

After work this afternoon I drove down to the Eureka waterfront to see a rare visit by a cruise ship The World . A rental car with a young couple pulled up behind me and got out. It was
Ryan Zeck He started racing Go Karts at 7 years old and moved up through Late Model Stocks here on the north coast. Ryan won the first Allan Kulwicki scholarship to engineering school at the University of South Carolina. His dad has been a friend of mine for over 40 years and now works for Humpy Wheeler a CMS (Lowes MS) The Zecks sold hat and a$$ here in Eureka to move to Charlotte with Ryan. Rudy developed the Thunder Roadsters for Humpy among other things .
