These imbeciles have been torching large, almost completed apartment buildings, beautiful, nearly completed lodges, SUV's, even some completed buildings! Millions of dollars of private property up in smoke!

Never, NEVER, have *I* heard of the guilty low-life being caught, much less prosecuted!

So just how is Homeland Security any help in this, especially when they are not even trying?

Budge -

By way of explanation.......

I was simply replying to an earlier post from dmz where he said:

"Most freepers (if not all) would agree that ZERO additional gun laws are necessary to prosecute the illegal use of a firearm.

But we need additional laws (the Patriot Act) to prosecute the destruction of personal property.

If we need the Patriot Act to locate and prosecute a group that has all the subtlety of a train wreck, we are in trouble."

I just thought that the enhanced powers given the authorities to do their eavesdropping stuff that the Patriot Act has given them might help find and prosecute not just the ones who did the arsons, but the whole organization, and mentioned RICO as a possible consideration.

This group is a home grown terrorist one and should be dealt with - one way or another.

I tend to agree with you, by the way.

Regards,

B.
