You are spot on!
It is the Islamic world that has the answer to this within their grasp.
If they do not act, then we will have to.
I do not know how much time they have, but the clock is ticking.

These delusion-of-grandeur fools, the Pallies, are doing this because they delusionally think they can harass Israel away thereby. They deserve their collective hineys to be kicked into Jordan.

Nice quote from Ghandi - I hadn't heard it before... Thanks for the article redrock, now get yourself that brew and relax, as smart FReepers have suggested. ;)

Well said bro. It is they who need to decide.
But I am afraid that there is a part of the rest of the world (some within our own midst) that is cheering them on...or worse yet, using them to try and weaken us.
A very dangerous time in history...but it is times like these, like two hundred plus years ago, that try men's souls and produce true heroes and true statesmen who somehow come in contact with the Almighty, understand His true will, and accomplish it.
Our founders, because they were peaceful men at heart, and because they trusted a loving God, were able to do that. I pray...and I believe with all my heart...that we will see the same happen here in our day.
Best regards my friend.

Tell it to the State Department who sees a moral equivalence in the middle east.
Am beginning to believe that this is the beginning of a new holocaust.

When the United States and the rest of the world finally understands that these "sand for brains" bastards have no more mental capacity than a rabid dog, we might begin making some headway.
You don't capture, try, convict, and imprison rabid dogs...You PUT THEM DOWN!
End of story.

You are so right, my old friend. Beautifully expressed.
As I was reading, the thought popped into my head about the Alabama Chief Justice fighting to keep the Ten Commandments in the court house. That's just what we need in America, to remove any reminder that our country was founded on principles derived from God. This sure is a crazy world today.
Hope you can get some sleep soon. We're off this afternoon to our Airstream on the lake. Take care. Regards, Mare

Sorry about your insomnia, but I'm glad that you made productive use of your time, this essay is great. I can't disagree with a single word.
I think that it was Limbaugh, that said a few months ago, that he couldn't find a single instance of a war being ended by negotiation. There had to a winner and a vanquished loser before peace could ever be restored. In this case I have to agree.
With Iraq being rebuilt, with Iran about to topple, with Saudi Arabia's complicity becoming more known and despised, and with the public's attitudes on terrorism since 9/11, I don't think that it will take much before the entire Islamic world will be assaulted and transformed. The patience of the world is growing thin, and the Islamic hordes are about to find out that their hatred is not to be accepted by the rest of us.

The West Bank used to be Jordanian territory before Israel took it during a war they didn't start. So why didn't Jordan ever create a Palestinian state in the decades between Israel's establishment and the capture of the West Bank?
IIRC, five of the folks who died in that last bus bombing (including a three month old baby) were Americans. It is time for us to tell the Palestinians, "Stop the bombing now, because the next time you kill an American, there will be U.S. troops coming to kick down your door, and they will make the Israelis look like little fuzzy little lambs."

Gandhi would not have succeeded had the British not restrained themselves by the rule of law.
Civil disobedience does not work when implemented towards an uncivil oppressor. In the mindset of uncivil people, civil negotiations are a non-starter - in fact to do so would be a sign of weakness.
When a civilized people face a brutal enemy, they should exercize "Queensbury Rules" (boxing) at their own peril.
Better to exercise the "Platnum Rule*" rather than the "Golden Rule**."
* Platnum Rule - Do unto others as they do unto you.
** Golden Rule - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Marytrs usually don't have sons to write about how nobel they were.

Good read.
But I don't believe the rest of the world is going to give them much more time.
Methinks the time for killing them is now. And in large numbers.

"An Eye for An Eye....Until the Whole World is Blind" Gandhi
Gandhi. What a dopey, sanctimonious little prick. He didn't have any trouble advocating violence when it suited his purposes (see Richard Grenier's The Gandhi Nobody Knows). Besides, Gandhi's quote just underscores one more area of his amazingly profound ignorance. An eye for an eye doesn't represent barbarism; it represented a giant step forward in law--it limited punishment. Following its precepts, no one could be meted out a punishment greater than the crime he committed. This is something that even England in the 1800's didn't live up to since one could be put to death for theft. The U.S. still doesn't today (look at asset forfeiture laws for just one example). And in India, if you were a widow, even in Gandhi's time, you were often thrown onto your dead husband's funeral pyre whether you liked it or not.
