Lice offer clues to origin of clothing

Human body lice appear to owe their origin to the invention of clothing, and the types that reside on our bodies appear to have hitchhiked along as modern humans migrated out of Africa about 100,000 years ago.

Mark Stoneking and colleagues at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, made the connection between the origin of clothing and the rise of human body lice by checking so-called molecular clocks found in the cells of all living creatures.

Even on the religion threads (which have gotten pretty hot at times) I can't recall people engaging in so many outright personal attacks on my person and character. You can ask any of my opponents on the other threads and they will say that they may disagree with me but I've always been decent with them. Then you come over here and it beats all I've ever seen. There have been a few who have been fairly cordial, but the "pack" that seems to travel in this neck of the woods is particularly vicious in their personal attacks- also blasphemous at times.

As for your post about your hubby, some people need to calm down and take a valium or something. We are on the internet. What kind of threat can saying you have a big black beret husband be when you are on the net talking to a complete stranger? Don't be so sensitive. And, Aric, I thought you said you were gone.

It does beat all I have ever seen. They hate it that I am here. I don't hate them, but they go on and on in their ridicule all the time. To you, to me, to gore 3000 and to others who have been great posters here. They travel in packs and wait in the shadows and conspire. This topic is so explosive here and at other websites. It is like they are drowning and are making some kind of last ditch effort before they sink.
I love my hubby so much. He likes to read the posts with me. He is a big handsome lovable teddy bear. I guess my bragging about his army status seems to threaten some people. It should not. He became disabled fighting for this country 110th jump went bad.

Honestly, you don't know me. From the time I was 15 I can recall taking doctrines my church taught me and going through the Bible on my own to see if it is really what the Bible taught. At times, I've even disagreed with the teachings of my denomination. Not on the essentials, but on secondary issues. I've disagreed with my professors a lot too. I read the issues and make up my own mind. It doesn't threaten me when something disagrees with my beliefs because I've studied them and they are mine. Plain and simple.

He was a Black beret, Army Ranger, Commandos bascially, and VERY well trained. Also have very high esprit de corp.

I am assuming that he was probably also airborne, although not all rangers are airborne rangers.

I know 5 Green berets, that have come out of the rangers to train for Special forces. From what I understand, you HAVE to be a ranger in order to even be considered.

My Major in Turkey was also one of the original Delta Force, talk about hardcore.He used to run us 15 miles a day. It was absolutely exhausting the first 2 weeks, after that, it was great fun.

Anyway, I digress, The Black berets are a very special unit, but special forces are even better trained, and they wear the Green berets.

And yes, you should apologize to the Green Berets, Black berets are NOT up to their standards.

I had a buddy at seminary who was special ops in South America. They are a rare breed.

My hubby was in during Jimmy Carter days. They are a special breed and America is proud of all of them. They are all dedicated men who love this country. I am so proud that I am married to one.
When his chute failed to open (this was in the 70"s) They said he would never walk again, but through the Grace of God, he walks pretty good now. He has a lot of pain from time to time, but he loves Jesus and has a gentle kind nature.

Aric, what she wrote the prof was not a "threat". Stop with the melodramatics. Yer sounding like one of those obnoxious yip-yip dogs! There is no way that you would have lasted in the military if you were as oversensitive than that. You are purposely hyping it up.
