OH no, now we have to view the "wicked witch of the South on TV" I saw her yesterday swivelling her head back and forth like that accursed child in The exorcist - Man, I can't stand her as our Governor and hope all of us here in Arizona who've sat in gas lines will remember this 4 years from now!

I'm sure this news conference will confront the series & hugh conspiracy surrounding Bush & Cheney's attempt to deprive the citizens of Az. the lower priced gasoline they supply to states with republican governors.

Let me summarize her speech before she even gives it.
It is all Kinder Morgan's fault.
She didn't know anything about it.
Greedy businesses are to blame for all of our problems.
You greedy gas buyers are to blame for "topping off" your tanks.
It's all Kinder Morgan's fault.
Don't worry - government workers will be "telecommuting" (That is where they don't do work at home instead of driving to their offices to not do any work there)
There is no crisis - who needs gasoline anyway?
It's all Kinder Morgans fault.
Government will take care of you.
If Salmon were governor we would never have had this fiasco. Republicans understand that cutting off 30% of the gasoline supply to the 5th largest city in the country is going to cause a problem and you should wait 20 days to do anything about it.
"Government is not the solution to our problem - government is the problem" Ronald Reagan

If Salmon were governor we would never have had this fiasco I agree. Do you doubt rolling black outs are too far off in the distance? I am not signing up for 115 degree days with no AC.
One more year and I am outta here.

What I don't get is how she said she had no idea that it was going to get so bad. I did not have ANY of the information that she had, yet I could see it happening last Wednesday when the gas stations started closing down in mass.

I haven't really kept up with this story, with all the other crap that's been going on. I know that a gasoline pipeline supplying Phoenix ruptured, causing bad shortages and $4 per gallon gas. Can you fill me in on some other details? Are the Rats obstructing the pipeline repairs for their environazi friends?

Logic dictates that when supply is greatly cut eventually it will produce shortages.

Very easy for you to read all the threads. Click on "Topics" at the top of this thread. Click on "Arizona" and you can pick and chose which threads about the pipeline problems you want to read. Regarding repairs, it's a 50-year old line and when it was tested after making the repairs, it failed the integrity test in one or more locations between Tucson and Phoenix. (What I want to know is the line's integrity between El Paso and Tucson. Aging infrastructure is a killer problem no matter whether you're talking about highways, pipelines, or electric transmission lines.)

You must have heard about those beautiful bus stops built in Mesa ... The sad thing is that people actually waited for the bus at them! "If you build it they will come."
