Hoover Institute...isn't that where Thomas Sowell works? So is that maybe good if they advise him?

He's also chosen Schuster, but noone praises that. The short-sighted McClintock nuts are just looking for anything to hang Arnold with.

I think most of them are actually working for the Bustamante campaign.

We could save tons of money simply rolling back the 40,000 people Davis has hired over the last couple years...

Wow, I'm not quite sure what makes Bob Dole nor GB moderates. Could you explain that?

What planet do you live on? The only way a Republican can win is to to crossover Dem votes. McClintock will never get those crossover votes. ARRGGHHHHH.

I am now accepting apology-checks from all those FR pests who claim that Schwarzenegger is really a Democrat!

Hmmm - no new taxes (but no education cuts) - versus being pro-abort, pro-gun-control, pro-gay, anti-Clinton impeachment and pro-new-spending-programs. Yep, you convinced me ... /sarcasm.

I am now accepting apology-checks from all those FR pests who claim that Schwarzenegger is really a Democrat!

His economic advisor states that Californians aren't taxed enough, he makes not a single statement about illegal immigration, he talks about increasing government programs, he's pro-gay marriage, he's pro-abortion, he's stated he will 'never forgive' the Republican Party for impeaching Clinton . . . the only check you'll get from me is a reality check, because you surely do not have any evidence to back up your claim that Schwarzenegger is a conservative Republican.

"Is there a difference between not raising taxes and having no new taxes?"

I pointed out that Bush41 said "No new taxes." I also pointed out that Bush41 signed a bill increasing an EXISTING tax. Everyone looked at me as if I'd suddenly become excessively flatulent. So I've stopped pointing that out. But Bush41 never approved any "new taxes."

A vote for McClintock is a vote to make the GOP 2 time losers in California. Good job.

If we compromise principles just to get Schwarzenegger in, we have no principles.

If Bustamante gets in, in two years he'd be voted out and we could get a McClintock in...

However, if we get Scwarzenegger in, he could win two more 6-year terms as a RINO. Good job to you.

Thanks for the confirmation re Hoover. This is quite encouraging. At heart I love McClintock but if it's a choice between Arnold and Cruz's billions in new taxes elaborated yesterday...

On the other hand I sure wish Warren "Californians don't pay high enough property taxes" Buffett weren't given speaking time today!!

Education is not on the table.

Education is one of the big reasons for the budget deficit. Public schools are GUARANTEED a specific percentage of the state budget; it's non-discretionary. And whenever new revenues come into the state, the first predetermined slice goes to education, whether it needs the slice or not. Someone help me out here...I think it was Prop. 96 that set in concrete funding for education. It's a weight around the state's neck, and nobody is willing to call it as such (not even conservative Republicans in the Legislature).
