Qualification seems to be a relative thing in California in past years. He seems no more or less qualified than any other.

Governors are like a CEO. They are managers and that is a special talent.

Political experience wins no points of qualification with me. Winning a statewide election is another point to consider with the mix. Public persona is important for consensus management.

Lack of either will not get someone elected.

Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill O'Reilly is not a conservative. Unlike O'Reilly, a self-professed political independent, Schwarzenegger is a RINO. Make that that a liberal RINO!

And O'Reilly's website polls, aren't indicative of the conservatism, or how conservatives vote in elections.

So lemme get this straight. You respect O'Reilly, a self professed political independent, but you despise Schwarzenegger, a self professed Republican moderate whom you demand is a liberal. Hmmm.

Wrong. Those are your words. Not mine.

My point is simple. The people who frequent O'Reilly's premium website, aren't conservative and therefore would be more likely to support Arnold Schwarzenegger in the recall election.

Btw, you're wrong about Arnold being a moderate.

First off, Arnold supports abortion on demand. He also supports special rights for homosexuals and would recognize gay marriages. And Arnold supports gun control. Those aren't the political positions of a conservative or even a moderate.

The twin pillars of fiscal conservatism, are tax cuts and reductions in government expenditures. Arnold has yet to prove he is even fiscally responsible, let alone a fiscal conservative.

Arnold has said, he favors getting California out of the red, so its social welfare programs will run more effectively and efficiently. That's highminded liberalism.

Arnold has also said, he wants to bring businesses back to California, so tax revenues will increase and the states social welfare programs will have the proper level of funding to operate. More highminded liberalism.

Like I said, Arnold is a liberal RINO. No doubt about it!

Anyone is "qualified". The concept of public service was created from the belief any average American citizen could serve.

That was the idea. Instead the lawyers took over. It's that simple.

They "make" the laws then "interpret" them and then "modify" them just to justify their jobs. And it crosses both major parties.

Go back to the election in Florida in 2000. One county kept changing the "law" on how much of a "chad" counted as a vote everytime they didn't come up with enough to steal the election for Gore. Now why are they "allowed" to go back and reapply laws they changed? Because these slimly assholes don't really get replace the law as much as amend it for future consideration. Thus, it's all bullsh*t.

Watch the politicians on both sides and all you'll really see is a cluster f*ck of meetings about setting the agenda of the next meeting that is to look into the possibility of meetings to address the issue of a meeting about a rat someone in Idaho found in a Coke bottle.

And the biggest problem in American today is that our private companies are turning more and more into this same bureaucratic nightmare.

Qualified? I can find amoeba that are more qualified.

I've read at least 50 articles re: Arnold and related people, dating back to the 1970's. My impression is that Arnold is a 'managEE', rather a managOR. He was turned into a commercial icon by Joe Weider, a man charged with fraud, false advertising and misrepresentation on many occasions, mostly for selling questionable 'nutritional' and 'enhancement' products via mail. With all of the political promoters surrounding Arnold now, I have to question who is really leading... and who is just playing the lead part.

In fact, I can't find one reason why anyone would think he is qualified or capable of leading this state... let alone find a single republican ideal that he supports.

He received his 'business degree' via a correspondence program.

The children's programs he supports (and promotes) are largely financed by government (fed and state), and are run by friends and family, some of whom are quite well compensated (Inner City Games, Special Olympics, etc).

While most republicans were outraged by the lies of the Clinton administration, Arnold is quoted as being "ashamed to be a republican".

He supports gun control.
He supports abortion.
He supports gay rights, including adoption.
He says he is a fiscal conservative, yet chooses one of the most left wing individuals to be his advisor.

What's amazing to me is that he calls himself a republican.
More amazing is that so many are willing to support him given his leftist views.

Just think how great The Clintons and Jane Fonda
would be if they would only switch to the Republican
Party.

Now that you mention it, I almost expected to find Hayden on the list of donations from Schwarzenegger at OpenSecrets.com...

alas, only a Kennedy and a Shriver and a Herschensohn.
More than a decade... and the only federal elections for which Arnold donated were:

11/4/2002 -$1,000 Shriver, Mark Kennedy
5/30/2001 $1,000 Shriver, Mark Kennedy
5/30/2001 $1,000 Shriver, Mark Kennedy
9/14/1993 $1,000 California Republican Party
5/18/1992 $1,000 Kennedy, Joseph P II
10/16/1991 $1,000 Herschensohn, Bruce

Hey, was Hitlery Rodham qualified to be Senator? Of course not. And she proves it every single day. Accomplishments to date: Voting yes to every socialist, every study, every BS program you can think of. "Should taxpayers finance the study of bananas and if they are indeed yellow?" YES.. " "Should taxpayers finance the supply of designer crack pipes to crack addicts" YES..Bing bing bing..I am pretty certain she holds the record for this. No other Senator in the history of this country has voted yes more times to spending money than HRC.. Then, after Congress extended unemployment benefits for an extra 12 weeks in January, she tried to get it extended again Hey, no wonder unemployment is high (if you can call 6% high) Who the hell wants to work when you can have a paid vacation for practically the whole year? "Uhhh, yeah, I`m trying to find a job Mr. unemployment officer, down at the beach." Then she went on her book tour and is still on her book tour. That`s it! That is all she has freggin` done! Of course if you ask her, she`ll say she tried to get this done and that done but the evil right wingers stopped her everytime. So we the taxpayers have basically paid someone to do something an eggplant could do, which is pretty much just what she is judging by how she looks whenever Congress is in session, and that`s if she shows up.. Just vote yes on everything having to do with spending right on down the line and then promote yourself for people who like eggplants.

yes yes yes...Can I get back to my true job of shameless promo now? Jeez!

And guess who really wants HR to be Prez....

Well, I hope you will enjoy Davis, or even worse.......Bustamante!

I have no hope whatsoever for the cal repubs.

Stick a fork in them, because they are done.

Bush was right to write off the state. Efforts were made to get Riordan on the ticket and he was replaced by his Lordship Mr. Simon.

Now they will trash Arnold in favor of McClintock.(sp, who cares) both of them incapable of winning statewide, especially L.A. and San Fran.

Reality bites. You have a very socially liberal state. You have to make some adjustments and keep an eye on the big picture.

Besides, who wants that job right now? Who ever gets it will be a one termer.
