I've read at least 50 articles re: Arnold and related people, dating back to the 1970's. My impression is that Arnold is a 'managEE', rather a managOR. He was turned into a commercial icon by Joe Weider, a man charged with fraud, false advertising and misrepresentation on many occasions, mostly for selling questionable 'nutritional' and 'enhancement' products via mail. With all of the political promoters surrounding Arnold now, I have to question who is really leading... and who is just playing the lead part.

In fact, I can't find one reason why anyone would think he is qualified or capable of leading this state... let alone find a single republican ideal that he supports.

He received his 'business degree' via a correspondence program.

The children's programs he supports (and promotes) are largely financed by government (fed and state), and are run by friends and family, some of whom are quite well compensated (Inner City Games, Special Olympics, etc).

While most republicans were outraged by the lies of the Clinton administration, Arnold is quoted as being "ashamed to be a republican".

He supports gun control.
He supports abortion.
He supports gay rights, including adoption.
He says he is a fiscal conservative, yet chooses one of the most left wing individuals to be his advisor.

What's amazing to me is that he calls himself a republican.
More amazing is that so many are willing to support him given his leftist views.

Just think how great The Clintons and Jane Fonda
would be if they would only switch to the Republican
Party.

Well, I hope you will enjoy Davis, or even worse.......Bustamante!

I have no hope whatsoever for the cal repubs.

Stick a fork in them, because they are done.

Bush was right to write off the state. Efforts were made to get Riordan on the ticket and he was replaced by his Lordship Mr. Simon.

Now they will trash Arnold in favor of McClintock.(sp, who cares) both of them incapable of winning statewide, especially L.A. and San Fran.

Reality bites. You have a very socially liberal state. You have to make some adjustments and keep an eye on the big picture.

Besides, who wants that job right now? Who ever gets it will be a one termer.
