[history]
Sometimes "diversity" seems to be just a politically correct way of saying that different types of people are managing to co-exist. And, while sometimes that may be a good start, a look at diversity from three angles should make it clear there is much more to it than that.

I understand the people are different. So what? Why do I have to celebrate it?

"Diversity" is Leftist FascistSpeak for anti-white and anti-heterosexual.
I hate that word as much as blacks hate the "N" word.

It's also the secularist lefts God. I thought it was just me but I actually cringe whenever I hear this word. I always thought the whole idea was to celebrate our sameness in humanity while maintaining pride in our backgrounds. Clearly that doesn't count for white, heterosexual males.

Translation: we socialists are going to set up a society that will tell you what to do with who and when and for how long. You will not be free to go about your day setting your own schedule and doing the things you want to do without first obtaining govt permission. The govt will pick the people you associate with, what activities you engage in, where you will work, where you will live, and who you will call your friends and family.

The world is a diverse place, but you can't throw us all into a freaking blender and homoginize every nook and cranny - the fact that you find some pockets of white people or straight people, etc, just adds to the diversity. Those that cry loudest for "diversity" really want the mix to be as smooth as possible. It's kind of like a million kids getting tattoos and body piercings and wearing all black in order to practice "individualism". What a crock...

When did "diversity" end up being a part of the Constitutional rights we enjoy?Black conservative ping
If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)
Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

Notice that diversity-babble never includes mentioning diversity of philosophy or ideas-that's clearly where they draw on the line on this diversity crap...

When I took my kid to New Haven to check out Yale, we saw red police lights every twenty minutes. It reminded us of the south Bronx... The town has been completely ruined since my youth.BUMP
I grew up in North Haven. Spent a lot of time in New Haven...mostly Wooster Street, the only thing I miss. (Pepe's and Sally's)

Why do I have to celebrate it? Whenever someone expects me to celebrate diversity, I usually do so by confessing my admiration for the division of labor in capitalism or the natural formation of a class structure in society.
It's fun to watch them backpedal.

Diversity is a condition, not a value.
A "diverse" citizenry includes innocents and thieves, workers and layabouts, lovers and haters. Skin color or ethnic origin denote nothing of value, except, perhaps, as a means by which some people extort undue influence under the color of law and the pretense of justice.

Diversity is not just a civil right, its a human right So I have the human right to be both white and black? And Hispanic, too? Racist doctors...why didn't they tell me? ;)
