Why not just use an abacus to send email while you're at it? I suppose you'll really be surprised that I read Free Republic (and am writing this reply, in fact) via Lynx.

Easy does it, sparky. I make my living on Microsoft junk. :o) Vampire Pride?

I have been using IncrediMail for almost two years now and have updated a couple of times. I find it works well and it can access mulitple e-mail accounts to check for mail very easily. I have tried some of the others mentioned but found this one very much to my liking. Anyone else using this??

Thank God! that invasive crap-laden-good-for-nothing useless icon will disappear!

I say "Sell it to the chinese, billy gates. We're all stocked up on 'secure as a sieve' virus-magnet software here."

It should have died years ago, from sheer embarrassment. Outlook (all versions) is just a virus petri dish.
Get Eudora, you're done.
Oh, and stay away from those gay Macs.

I hear ya! Luckily, I (still) have Windows '98, has "the worm" affected you? and, no, I don't mean that hidieous Dennis Rodman. Sorry if my spelling is off, I've been out for a couple...but I have tried to delete that obnoxious outlook crap and it still pops up like some unwanted Pilsbury guy! GEEZ! What does a chick do to get rid of it once and for all?

It is the 'profiles' that collect email on hotmail. They have some odd 'singles' section. This allows hotmail/MSN users to surf profiles whether you have made on or not to profile mail other users. Once you have a hotmail/msn email....you are publicly listed in some directory.

"Eudora is a fine program..I have used it since the beginning."
"Friends don't let Friends use Outlook"
Eudora doesn't let you use more then one email address without changing the account info every time you want to check emails.
Outlook express allows unlimited email addresses and it also has a forword function which is great to send office emails to a home address etc.. You can add keywords like "urgent" at work and have them sent to your home email. Or you can have email from "the boss" forworded to your home etc..
Outlook express also has an easy file structure you can set up which is easier and faster to get to your files then outlook professional.

I have a mac.com email address, an earthlink email address, a MSN address (basically a hotmail address) and a work address. The only one I consistently get spam on is the MSN address. Actually, I cancelled my MSN account, and use the MSN address to give out on web forms. However, I found it interesting that ALL of the spam comes to that address. BTW, I use it for my spam email address because I was getting spammed there all the time, anyway.
I am also convinced that many of the EBay sellers sell emails as I generally get a flood of spam after I buy something on EBay (which happens maybe twice a year.)

Outlook is just too clunky. So true, but Outlook 2003 is indeed better. It's probably gonna be the one that finally moves me from Outlook Express to Outlook.

OS, Web Server and Hosting History for www.freerepublic.com
OS Server Last changed IP address
Linux Apache 25-Jun-2003 209.157.64.200
I think JimRob has the right idea...
check out YOUR favorite sites... nearly 70 percent are "open source" apache (often on a linux kernel) these days, and the once contender " iis " server has apparently lost 7-9 percent of it's market share since march...
Gates is in deep do do... I guess he didn't pay the boys at SCO off to go after ibm/unix soon enough...

Ahoy Capt'n.. I have been using Incred for about two years too, and in two different states. I never get spam with Incredimail. I use it through outlook express, and never get spam there either.
I love my Incredimail..;)

Eudora doesn't let you use more then one email address without changing the account info every time you want to check emails. WHAT??? I have two domains and ten addresses.
I think the real popularity of Outlook with IT departments is that with the MS exchange server it sets itself up.
When Eudora checks my mail, it opens sockets as needed and checks them all simultaneously.
Eudora will autoforward, filter spam, sort mail into different boxes, autoreply, etc. Once, when I was getting mailbombed by a spammer, I simply autoforwarded every one to the abuse address, autodeleted them , and enjoyed watching them suddenly stop.
Maybe you tried the freeware version, or something?
