I thought every night at The Vet was gay night.
They need the gay fan base, because all their straight fans wind up in the drunk tank/prison they installed in the stadium basement.

Celebration of a sexual quirk in a national baseball park. How special.
The good people of Philadelphia ought to make sure they vote with their feet and make this warped management feel the financial wrath for promoting this disgusting "lifestyle". For every dollar of perceived revenue this "promotion" generated they should take 1000 out.

"An openly gay man even threw out the first pitch."
Did the limp wrist get the ball over home plate? Or is it now homo plate?

The more the gay agenda is promoted, the more it becomes socially acceptable. Unfortunately, it has potentially serious consequences for our society. Accepting this life style goes against the Judeo-Christian and Muslim beliefs.
Also, Our government should not be in the business of sanctioning a life style preference.

Coming next..... swingers nite, sadomasochism nite, NAMBLA nite.

This is a put-on, right? Someone tell me this was just a joke.
There is a joke, though:
These three oddboys are standing around, talking sports. The first one says: "My favorite thport ith wrethling, 'cauth you get to be really close. That'th what I like -- contact".
The second one says: "My favorite thport ith badmitton, cauth it'th tho gratheful".
The third one says: "My favorite thport ith batheball, cauth when you make an error, thomebody ith going to holler, 'You cockthucker!'; and that'th what I like -- recognition!".

No more Phillies for me. They've always sucked, but this is too much.

"eight upper-deck sections were designated for gay and lesbian groups along the first-base line.."
Wouldn't it have been better to have designated the Queer sections:
Behind Homo Plate?????

What the hay?!? Are they lacking the fan base that promotions need to sponsor this rubish to gain a few fans? I'm afraid this will backfire on their ticket sales... naw, probably not, the gays will just think it's an excuse to invite all their friends to the party and the game will be irrelavant. Fans should demand special Straight Nights, Lefties Nights, Righties Nights, Red Head and Freckles Nights, Cross Eyed Nights, Postal Workers Nights, Nazi Skin Head Nights, Mall Rat Nights, Islamic Nights, Blonds Have More Fun Nights, Wheel Chair Nights, Lasagne Lovers Nights, <75 IQ Nights, and every other outrageous "special group" nights.

The management of the Phillies must be out of their minds -- Disney World has still never recovered from the financial decline that began when they started hosting Gay Days there.

Scott Grether . . . donning a Pat Burrell charm around a necklace . . . said Burrell is his favorite Phillie. Because of Burrell's looks? "Mostly," Grether said, laughing. From The Pat Burrell Online Shrine:
. . . the charismatic, movie-star-handsome Burrell (he's a dead ringer for a young Rock Hudson)

. . . . . . .It's Pat!

An of course, there would be a California Gubnatorial Candidate Night, but they could find a Stadium big enough.

After having about 8 beers, one of these guys had sex in the designated seating area of the Vet with another guy who had AIDS and several other nasty STDs. The first guy may sue the Phillies, the Vet and, each member of the Phillies team and management for "facilitating" the transmission of known deadly diseases, knowingly allowing one or more persons with a deadly disease to enter and frequent a place where alcohol was served, and failing to post warning signs informing all those seated in the designated sections about the dangers of promiscuous homosexual activity. The drinker feels, and rightly so, that he had the right to enjoy the game without putting his life at risk.
Of course, it would never happen but maybe the neocummunist plantiffs' lawyers should attack and put out of business some of the outfits who are detroying America and American culture instead of just attacking the heart of the nation. Hey, fairies got money, too.

The Phillies have actually failed to sell out playoff games, back when they made the playoffs.

What I would like to have heard:
reporter ......asked: "What do you think about tonight?"
Larry Bowa, 'It sucks.'
An openly gay man even threw out the first pitch.
I bet he threw like a girl.
