Today President Bush made his first trip outside of Texas since beginning his working vacation at the beginning of the month. He traveled to Arizona with Secretary of Agriculture, Ann Veneman, to observe the fire damage from the Aspen wildfires, touring Inspiration Rock in Coronado National Forest near Summerhaven, and promoting the need for healthy forests, and the prevention of fire devastation through controlled thinning of forests and underbrush. Later he travelled to Denver, Colorado to participate in a fundraiser, calling the departure of Liberian President, Charles Taylor, a positive step, and introducing his nominee for EPA director, Utah Governor, Mike Leavitt. Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Remember when I sent to see the president and didn't get in......Well, today I got a letter on White House stationary..
Thank you for taking the time to come to the Indiana State Fairgrounds in May, I was humbled by the support of so many Hoosiers for my Economic Jobs and Growth plan.
I understnad that the Coliseum filled more quickly than expected and that some supporters were not able to enter the building. I want you to know that I am grateful for your support and deeply touched by your effort to attend the events.
Laura joins me in wishing you all the best.
Sincerely,
George W Bush

Working vacation? Geeze, don't you know he is on an "extended vacation" during the same time our troops are being murdered in Iraq? :-)
Be back later guys, gotta go do the dishes! Ugh!

I swear, that rattler was this big around! I caught him, and put him in Helen's bunk this morning. You should have heard the scream... hehehe
Ok. Here's another...
I tell you, eating Brisket is good for the digestive system. Let me demonstrate!

Hi Neighbor,
When he flew north to Denver he passed over our house in Air Force 1. That really made my day, it was a wonderful sight!

It's torture to look for and AT pictures of the President all day long...... LOL, I truly appreciate the fact you do this for us even though it's SUCH a grind for you. Great picutures today. I think the ranch is agreeing with him.

Thanks for posting the Dose, Ohio. Wonderful pics, as usual.
Hoosiermama, that's so wonderful that GWB - or someone in his office - took the time to thank you for showing up. I remember how disappointed (and MAD) you were that you didn't get in.

Oh I hate seeing fire damage in that beautiful area. I just know God personally came down and sculpted Colorado, the most beautiful state of all!

Thanks for switching Dose days with me, Ohio! We just got home from Texas and nope, I never did get to see the president :-(
Boy am I tired! Central Texas is gorgeous! I can see why President Bush loves it there.
