I found it at Target. It is a commemorative magazine called "How the United States Changed the World." It is by the same people who published "George W.; Bush: The Making of a War Time President."

It is full of pictures of the results in Afghanistan and shots of the Iraqi war, along with pictures of Americans illustrating resurgant patriotism.

And the cover shows the President in the dreaded flight suit. Heheheh.

You must be lost.......on the wrong thread........get it?

I believe that when a weapon as important tactically as the "smart bomb" is being considered by this administration for outsourcing to Communist China, then our president needs to spend some time during one of his days stopping this insanity running wild!

I, too, am a Republican, but the evidence continues to mount that this administration stands ready to follow the previous one in shoveling our defense technology to our enemies.

Since the recurring thread theme is "A Day in the Life of President Bush," I would just like to see this matter of defense stupidity addressed during one of those "Days."

The evil Clinton regime gave them the guidance technology for their ICBM program which they lacked, along with many other tactical goodies and we'd better wake up to the fact that the current administration is staffed by those with like minds.

If it isn't part of the President's official day, then it is not a topic for discussion on this thread. When you hear the President himself speak of outsourcing, you can come here and respectfully debate it on this thread. Until then, there are other threads on FR for you to voice your displeasure.

Excellent! Thanks Miss Marple, I'll be stopping at Target after work. Yes, that dreadful, dreadful flight suit, ;-)

"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"

Good motto.

I think that the President's Day is a proper place to put the matter of the proposed technology transfer to Communist China before him and others.

But you don't rule the world here. (Nor do I, by the way. You expressed your opinion; now I'm expressing mine.)

You've been advised of the rules and conditions for this forum -- and that there are other, more proper forums for your debate. That doesn't mean anyone here discounts your right to debate; however, your failure to follow the rules means it appears that you don't respect the rules and considerations of this forum.

Also on the newsstands is the fall issue of Women's Faith & Spirit; it is published by Ladies' Home Journal. There is a lovely photo of the President and First Lady on the cover. Inside is another photo and an article on their fabulous marriage.

Keep working on her. It is working.

Alas, I'd try that with my Mother, but she is such a pacifist and libertarian that I'd never convince her of such information.

She's still my Mom, but I won't talk politics with her.

I think the ones who are seeing things as they are regarding the Democratic Party are those who grew up being made to believe that the Dims "care for the little guy" and the working man in general. They never stopped to consider how terms like "safety net" and others are thrown about because they sound and "feel" good, not because they actually represent what the party represents. The ones who are actually starting to step back and take another look at things, and think for themselves, are finally realizing that the Dims is NOT the party of American values.

I hope they also see through stuff like the following, pointed out in yesterday's "Best of the Web":

Homelessness Rediscovery Watch

"If George W. Bush becomes president, the armies of the homeless, hundreds of thousands strong, will once again be used to illustrate the opposition's arguments about welfare, the economy, and taxation."--Mark Helprin, Oct. 31, 2000

"Homelessness Grows as More Live Check-to-Check"--front-page headline, USA Today, Aug. 12, 2003

I'm hoping (in an schaudenfraud kind of way) that the people who are waking up and seeing the media bias that have been presented for years. Maybe they will see that the interest of the Democratic (more like Socialist/Communist/Marxist party) are only interested in their own quest for power and funds to impose their will on others, with no consideration for the social mores of this time.

Alas, the people whose hearts we want to change (in this case, the young kids are the only ones we can inform and enlighten) won't be open to the possibilities, since they want their piece of the Pork handout (either in SS or medicare, or prescription drugs, medical insurance, etc.)
