My precious son was 3 months early also -- he's now a very precocious 4-year-old. Let me know if you have questions, need help, or just want to talk!

Prayers for Logan! (what a handsome name for a darling boy. my 3 year old has that name) A lady I know had her baby last year in October, when he was due in January. He is now home and will soon be able to get completely off his oxygen.
The power of prayer is awesome!

My friend had a baby at about the same time (25 to 26 weeks). That baby is now 10 years old. She started reading at 4. She's a little artist, a poet, positively brilliant. She's beautiful and she's normal sized. Medicine has progressed a lot in the last 10 years.

Our prayers are with you, your family and dear Brad.
Please take heart and know that this sweet child CAN make it. My wife is a Labor & Delivery Nurse (RNC) and they pull little one's like this through almost all of the time these days.
The important thing to do is to be in the NICU as much as you can - talk to Brad, touch him, hold his sweet little hand - let Brad know that you are there for him. Make certain Mom gets her rest - a tired Mom can't do all the things needed to pull this baby through.
Our last Son was in the NICU for two weeks. It was a very scary time for us, but we worked in shifts to ensure that one of us was with him ALL the time. My wife expressed breast milk (the best thing for him), and I delivered it to the NICU every night so that Josh got fresh milk with every bottle.
The NICU nurses are Angels. There is a special place in heaven for them. Bring them donuts, coffee - and talk to them. And, though it may seem surprising (in these times), most of the NICU and L&D nurses we know these days are Christians - and are already praying for Brad.
