Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

I'm glad to see TT hained a little weight. Maybe he's just getting tired of that bland ol' milk. Why don't you give him a drumstick off that Christmas turkey!

Thanks for the pictures. Seeing these & hearing that he is getting bigger, brings joy to my heart too. Merry Christmas to TT & to all of you.

"Just a quick peek into my Wonderful Life with many more years to come! "

Well, now my cheeks are wet......

Thank you, OP, for posting that link.
What courage, what strength and what a strong belief in God's plan for us all!!
I admire you and KV, OP.
I have an idea what it took to get to where you are today.
The love you share can only be wrought in the crucible of hardship and heartache and forged with God's eternal love.
You two have taken love to a deeper meaning which most people will never experience.
God never gives us what we can't carry, and for what He takes away, He gives much.

May God bless you and KV this Christmas season, OP.
May the light of your love be a beacon to all.

I'd just set an extra plate at the table for you!

Huge cyberhugs, BG. How very gracious, but not to worry. I flew to IDAHO yesterday for a white Christmas with my daughter and her hubby. And here I am!

Merry Christmas Eve to you and yours and to all on this thread.

Merry Christmas to you too.
Our God is an Awesome God!
They say a woman is able to go through another birth because once the baby is here she forgets the pain....I must admt I never forgot that night but I have forgot all the bumps in the road along the way.

Logans journey refeshes the memories of all the good times we have had.

I am soooo glad we traveled and lived life to the fullest as I never had an inkling that he would grow up into a big man.

All that luvin' Logan gets now will make him an awesome dude when he becomes that man someday and a leader to youngin's.

The beauty of God's Love is it is available to everyone. Unlike everything else in this world it is NEVER in short supply. We all get to share it.

Merry Christmas to all!
