If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

My prayers for Logan, because there were SO many who prayed for MY preemie baby when she was born at 2.5 lbs/14"...preemies dont require "special" love, no more than any other innocent and beautiful child...but they get it because they bless us so much sooner.
May God and all his angels look after Logan and his family!

Yeah....we need to follow Logan's life. All of his birthdays, his first step, his first word, his first day of Kindergarten.
He is, after all, going to be the next President as has been said by more than one person on this thread.

JUST IN! NEWS FLASH! LOGAN REPORT FROM HIS GRANDMA!!!Hi all...
Just a very quick update.
Visted the baby with his mom at noon. He is much better! They were giving him yet another tranfusion and they really seem to be helping him over the hump..... the blood and all of the prayers :)
His Mommy still doesn't touch him due to the sinus thing, but even though he was asleep when we walked up, the minute she started talking to him, he was aroused and tried to open his little eyes, wiggled his foot and his little hands started moving. He would settle down, I would talk to him..... no response.
She would talk to him again, and he would again show response. For the 3 days prior... there had been no response to her. So it's a very good sign and we are thrilled.
He is up to 17 cc's of mommy milk per feeding, and he now weighs 1 lb. 13.8 oz. And he is now 12 3/4" long ;) What a guy!!!
There was one very cute moment when we were watching him that he actually clasped his little hands together almost as if he were praying. The nurse, his mommy and I all 3 at the same moment had tears come to our eyes and expelled an astouded "AWE....he's praying!" And you know... I really think he was.
I'm so happy to be able to send this note of joy. Again, Logan has jumped a mighty hurdle with the help and prayers of all of our friends,.... those we know and those we don't... and of couse, with the help of Almighty God.

I think it's kinda funny how he's ignoring his Nana at so young an age. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm SO dead when she sees this.
