Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but Jesus did say, "now you go - lay hands on the sick AND THEY SHALL RECOVER". If I may be so bold as to suggest the parents touch the baby's forehead with a drop of oil and speak this prayer over him. Then .. they should just continue to thank GOD for the total restoration of Logan.

My prayer is this: Father GOD, in the name of Jesus, we command LIFE into the body of little Logan; we command strength to every muscle and fiber of his body. All of Logan's organs function normally. We thank you Father GOD that because WE KNOW YOU HEAR US - we know we have the petition we have asked for. Thank you Lord for a complete restoration of Logan so he may fulfill all you have planned for his life. Amen

I'm willing to say this, because I have been involved in a total restoration of a person. She became very ill and went into a coma. She was totally paralyzed at this point. She was an acquaintance of mine through a friend at work. The friend came to work one day and said the doctors had told them she was not going to recover, and they wanted the family to pull the plug. I can't really explain what happened to me when she said that, but somewhere down deep inside me I heard this scream .. NOOOOOOOOO! It startled me so much, I just stood there. Even now, when I think of it, it brings tears to my eyes.

When I went to church that evening, I took my prayer partner aside and explained to her what had happened. All she said was, I'll pray tonight! The next morning I was stunned to hear my co-worker say - guess what! Amy woke up!

While Amy struggled to improve, my prayer partner and I received permission from Amy's husband to pray over her. The hospital was very encouraging of this - and made provision for us to have total access to Amy (very unusual). We took her husband and my co-worker and her husband along with us - they're all Christians. Amy agreed to the prayer, and we anointed her with oil and prayed over her - commanding life and strength into her body, as well as total restoration.

I've left out a lot of details, but the very next day the paralysis had left the upper half of her body and she began to say a few words. Within a few weeks, she was out of the hospital and at home with her husband and 2 yr old boy. Almost a year later, she had emerged from her wheelchair, and she WALKED on her own into my church to give GOD thanks for healing her and restoring her to her family.

Her medical records simply say one word - MIRACLE!

When you have experienced this type of healing, your faith is huge in that area. My faith for Logan's recovery is very strong - therefore my prayer is strong and full of faith.

I felt led to pray Psalm 91 for Logan and his family, inserting Logan's name and his family's name in place of the pronouns.

I felt particularly quickened when I reached verse 10-b.

PSALM 91

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.

And see the recompense of the wicked.
