If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Hey, you handsome dude, you BETTER be careful where you post your picture. LOL!!
So, it's just the story about Logan you want to post? I guess I misunderstood. You're right; you never know whose heart you will touch.

"you BETTER be careful where you post your picture." Yeah, you're right! ToysRUs hasn't paid me for the last Halloween masks I modeled for.
Nana has the same sense of unease you mentioned, and I certainly wouldn't want to expose Logan or any of his family to any danger.
The emotions run so high on this issue that people on both sides go off the deep end.
I get pretty emotional about abortion, but it has to be tempered with common sense.
To: TexasCowboy
Right!! I, too, am very much against abortion, but sometimes when we women get this feeling, we know we better not shrug it off.
Now, about those masks .... you fellas just LOVE to put yourselves down. LOL!!

I need to ask you guys for prayers again. Our wonderful social worker, who has been a part of our unit for 25 years, suddenly noticed spots in her vision.
Well, long story short, she had surgery yesterday for a biopsy after they found two tumors, one on the optic nerve.
We're devastated. She's been such a great support to our parents and to all of us on the unit.We desperately need a miracle.

Offering my prayers.

How ya doin', Termite? I see that laptop that Uncle Tonkin sent along is working just fine for you.
Are you & your parents having a good time? Anything new to report? Or are you all just kicking back, relaxing?

Hi Aunti N....
I'm having a fun time! Lots of people have come by to see me and I went to see the "Big Tree" today. Mommy said I should see it because it's supposed to be the biggest oak tree in Texas :) She took some pictures. She always takes a lot of pictures!
I loved the car ride! I just sat back, relaxed and let my mommy do the driving!
I love you Aunti N. I hope to see you soon... *TT*
To: Texas Termite
I just sat back, relaxed and let my mommy do the driving! PHEW! You had Gramps and I worried!!!
Hey! Termite! Me and the Bradster went shopping tonight. We bought you something. It's a secret so I can't tell you. You're just going to have to wait till I get there!
I'm going to pack it in my suitcase, OK?
Oh, btw, I forgot to ask, Little One....what's your social calendar look like the first or second week in December? Gramps is getting me a ticket, if it's OK with you. Please, when you get home...check your calendar. You can have your people contact my people and we'll get it all set up, OK?
Well, you have a great night's sleep! Oh, btw...I goofed when I said it was Uncle Tonkin's laptop. I think it was Uncle TC's laptop that you have with you. I think. Who knows anymore. I'm tired. Some goofy lady kept calling me tonight. Go figure.
Love you, Termite, a whole bunch.

Thanks for the ping...just read up on the discussion about security re posting pics of Logan. I think that sharing the story is wonderful, but I agree with you that confidentiality should be maintained, both visually and verbally! May God overshadow this project, and only let His Will be done!!
Prayers for your social worker friend.
FAther,
Bless and keep this special friend who is such a support to those working the neonate unit. Heal any and all biochemical imbalances in her body. Heal those tumors and the causes behind them! Heal her body! Heal her emotions and mind! Heal her soul and spirit at all levels! Father, we petition you for a miracle and we are gratefully expectant that you will answer with the Perfect reply. Shatter all opposition to your servant's life and service. We call forth only thy divine Will, and we affirm that only that Will can and shall be done in this entire situation.
Father, bless and heal any who are in a similar situation!
Amen
