If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Latest ultrasound, Monday 24 September, shows that both girls are now head down, a much better position, particularly for Katherine due to the placement of her umbilical cord in their shared placenta. Katherine just took a few days, longer to turn, but not so much since at the last exam even Elizabeth was only about half turned and was sort of katywhompus, although basically head down. I believe Monday was 29 weeks. Although with identical twins one must sort of take a few days off the actual gestation time, because they split somewhere along the line, and had to start over in some sense.
The high risk pregnancy specialist is now more optimistic that they will at least make it to 32 weeks, although 34 would be much better. The neonatalogist said that those born at 32 weeks would take about two years to catch up, but those born at 34 weeks might only take a year. At this point the only rea concern is that Kathrine's abdominal organs may have problems due to lack of growth at a critical time. (I have my own theory on that though, that being that she got an uneven share of the split, and is running a bit behind her twin, developmentally.
Hearts and brains look great, don't know about lungs. Surprisingly they think they saw Kathernine "practicing" breathing, and haven't seen Elizabeth, the larger twin, doing that yet.
I'm hoping for about 36 weeks myself, as that would make my birthday a possibility, or it might be great-grandma Gato's birthday, which would be even better and it's only a day after mine. Cousin Brit's is one day before mine, so that could be a possibility as well. Just hope they don't come between Oct 14 and 20, since I'll be far away in Orlando that week.
They are already farther along, two or three weeks I think, than Kaydance was when she was born, although barely.
I really appreciate all your concern and your prayers.
Now I'm concerned about our Little Man. But I know his spirit, even though I've not met him, and I know he'll be back, more impish than ever. I just know he will. So everyone hang in there, like he will. I'll be thinking about him as I travel up to north Texas tomorrow, I leave central Texas about the time of his surgery. I'll be checking the thread tomorrow for the news. (If I can set at the computer that is, I'm having colonoscopy on Friday which is the reason for the trip, and I'm sure y'all know what the "prep" for that is like, but I've survived it 3 times already and hope to survive quite a few more.)
Go Logan Go!
And you too little Kaydance.
Encouraging report you’ve presented.
Prayers continuing.
Prayers up for the 2nd sweetest 4-yr-old boy ever. May his surgery go well and may he tolerate the anesthesia well.
I don’t know the story of the other baby but will say a prayer for her too.

They are doing so GREAT!

As the father of a <2lb premie myself my heart and my prayers are with all of you.
Prayers lifted for the twins — and for your Friday “challenge,” too.
Will do, she's getting at least two ultrasounds a week and one of those is a 4D type. She'd feeling much better since they discovered that her iron level was zilch and got her on supplementation.
We did have one of those "meant to happen" things occur just after a not so good report on the twins, particularly Katherine.
I was TDY to San Diego and on the way back I sat next to a young lady about the same age as Miss V and the twins mother. We seemed to be reading "compatible" books, so we started talking (I was reading War Crimes by Buzz Patterson, my own autographed copy, She was reading an action adventure novel). I mentioned the twins and she lit up like a Christmas tree. She said. "I'm an identical twin! I only weighed 2 lbs when I was born, and I'm fine now, and pretty much always have been." Talk about making your day! And that was in the mid '70s with no routine ultrasound, not much special treatment for twin pregnancies at all. Her mother didn't even know she was having twins until about 3 weeks before they were born. Her sister weighed twice what she did, and is a little bigger to this day.
Well when I told my wife and daughter (separately, I saw my wife a bit over an hour sooner), about that, their eyes lit up too.
That was A Sign, I truly believe it was.
Just make sure that Logan knows that all of his aunts and uncles are wanting him to come home.... maybe not show off his new “boo boo” but we all will understand.
I lift up our beloved Logan to God in prayer - and all his friends for whom we pray! May our eyes be opened, that we may see Your Face, and feel Your Hand upon us, and know you are God...
You are God, and You are strong to save. Hear our prayer oh Father, and heal our children! In Jesus name we pray...
BTTT
I’ve been praying for all our babies. Logan will come through just great. He’s proved he’s tough over and over.
