Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Because God *is* good. I know TC is watching over his Punk'n, and he always will.

Miss Victoria is also getting ready for Christmas, although of course she doesn't really know that this year... next year though, Katie Bar the Door.

And here she is with the Big Fella himself. Seeing as he was dressed all in red, her favorite color (as you can see), from his head to his toe, he was in like Flint with her.

Miss V wishes everyone, especially TT, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Did I mention that she, her parents and her Aunt B and Uncle M are all coming to Grandpa Gato's house for Christmas. She and her folks will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas night with Grandpa and Grandma Gato, while her Aunt and Uncle will only be here for the afternoon and early evening as they are spending Christmas Eve and morning with his mother in Abilene. Oh and the three Dogs, two of which will be here from Thursday.

Then she and her parents will spend a night in San Antonio with us. Her Dad and I are going the Alamo Bowl, I imagine her mother and grandma will do some shopping.

My children always gather around to see Logan pictures. The older ones telling my 5 year old "not you, Logan". It's always amazing how much he looks like my nephew.

What a wonderful surprise, pics of our adorable mascot, Logan!

You can just see the excitement, the expectation in the twinkle of his eyes. Christmas was made for precious little children. Oh the joy!! People, give those precious ones an extra hug while we add an extra prayer for them all.

Well our little one goes back to the heart doc tomorrow to see if the valve in his little heart has closed. Please say a special prayer for Logan. We have been so blessed with this baby.... I can't tell you how scared I am right now.

Seems strange not to have a "big fella" to lean on right now. But I know he's in Heaven watching over his little punkin :)

BTW.... Joel and Faith are grandparents! Joel's daughter gave birth to a baby girl today. They're both fine. It's just the lift Faith & Joel need. The Lord takes and He gives.

Father God, we come together as Logan's prayer warriors, once again, asking you for prayer for this little feller. Lord, you've blessed his family and SO MANY OTHERS, over and above what we ever hoped for, and for that we're VERY grateful.

Please, Lord, let his doctor's visit tomorrow be everything we want it to be, that Logan NEEDS it to be. Please put Your Hand on Logan's little heart, and close up that valve...if You've not done so already. Please Lord, hear our prayer...

And thank you SO MUCH for the new life you've brought to Faith and Joel. Oh Lord, a tiny baby...another tiny baby. Thank you so much.

Add my congratulations to Faith on her new granddaughter...but, most off all I am sending up many prayers for Logan...

He has a special "angel" looking out for him now...I just know he will be fine...but prayers up anyway.

Please let us know how the dr. visit goes..and tell Logan that we are all sending our love along with him tomorrow.
