A Prayer Thread for LBGA
dansangel

Posted on 08/11/2003 9:19:22 AM PDT by dansangel

A wonderfully devoted FReeper, LBGA, is in need of FReeper prayers. I spoke with her sister last evening and with LBGA, herself, this morning, and things are not looking good.

When first diagnosed with cancer last year, LBGA wished to keep her condition a secret. She fought her affliction with admirable strength and candor. She really felt she had it beaten this past March when .45MAN and I had the pleasure of attending two pro-America/Support the Troops rallies with her - one in Milledgeville, GA and the other in Atlanta. She fell ill again shortly after the Atlanta rally and began her uphill battle against this malicious enemy once again.

LBGA has since been told she is "terminal." She has accepted this pronouncement with the grace and dignity that only LBGA could exhibit. Those of you that know her will understand what I am trying to describe. LBGA is a remarkably strong, talented and witty person who is a role model that I lovingly look up to.

LBGA gave me permission to go public with her illness and ask for FReeper prayers to lift her up to God. We know the power of FReeper prayer. It has worked miracles in the past and we now pray for another miracle for our FReeper FRiend, LBGA.

Please keep her son Tyler and daughter Teale in your prayers.

Dear Merciful Father,
We come to You today to ask a favor on behalf of our friend LBGA. We ask You to please allow her complete healing of her cancer so that we, her friends and her family, may have her with us longer. We ask, too, that her son and daughter find strength and comfort in Your loving arms as they carry their trmendous burden. If it be Your Will, Dear Lord, we ask this of You as Your humble and loving servants.

This request comes in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Thank you for the ping, Tonkin. I apologize for the delay in this, but I've been away from FR for a couple of days. I'll be sure to continue to keep her and her family in my prayers. God Bless.

Joining in prayer for Lynne ... Father, I pray that You would be that blessed song in the night for Lynne ... give her rest and ease as You whisper comfort and assurance. Strengthen her for tomorrow's battles ... she is victorious, through Jesus Christ ... Blessed be Your Holy Name, Amen ...

I'm sorry for not keeping up with the prayer pings for Lynne. I want to thank each and every one of you for your continuing prayers and concern.

The reason I have fallen behind is that my own .45MAN was admitted to the hospital on Saturday with bi-lateral pneumonia. His prognosis is very good, thanks to the grace of God - he may even be released today if his oxygen level stays elevated and the wheezing (he has asthma) improves.

We called Lynne at her hospital twice over the weekend from .45MAN's room. Her spirits were very good - I even got a laugh from her when I suggested the two of them needed to get a semi-private together so they could keep each other company. The swelling in her jaw has gone down and lymphatic cancer was *definitely* ruled out. It was an infection in her glands. God is good.

She's weak in body, but her spirit burns brightly. Continue to keep her lifted in prayer - as she herself said, God really listens to FReeper prayer.

Oh man! I'm so sorry. I hope .45Man is released and everything works out.

Prayers sent for LBGA.

Ok.. got your freepmail before I read updates. No need to freepmail and answer my questions.. other than Lynnes last name!! Thanks sweetie. I hope hubby gets well SOON!!! WOW!! Double pnuemonia!!! He was one sick puppy!!!!

Glad he is doing better.. but he is going to be weak for a while. That one knocks your socks off!! Just tell him that. Also, just a little advice.. they give a TON of antibiotics for this. Antibiotics do NOT know the difference from GOOD OR BAD bacteria. UNFORTUNATELY.. they KILL OFF BOTH. So it is IMPERATIVE to put the good bacteria back into his body. You can get acidopholis in PILL form. He should take two capsules a day, three times a day. Ask the Pharmacist which type he recommends. It is fine to take with any RX's he is on. Like I said.. ask your Pharmacist.

Many ICU's and CCU's use this a common protocol when treating their patients nowdays. They recognize that the patients HEAL better when their bodies function properly. He will get back on his feet better, if the GOOD bacteria is replaced. Otherwise, once it has been destroyed too.. it takes a long time to rebuild it. That is why people feel so funky for so long after being so sick and having taken antibiotics. Hope this helps. I'm not playing doctor.. but think about how women get yeast infections after a bout with anti-biotics. But if they eat yogurt like mad,.. or drink Acidopholis milk like mad, or add the capsules, they don't get it.

Like I said..they are now doing this in openminded ICU's and CCU's. It has made a HUGE difference. It makes sense. People who do this..have noticed a HUGE improvement. It can't hurt a thing. It can only help.

:o)

Card on the way.. prayers continue for your hubby too!!!

Seems like a lot has been happening on FR lately. Ernest_at_the_Beach losing his wife, redhead losing her husband. Lynne being so sick. Your husband with double pnuemonia..and you with him in the hospital out here helping a friend.

FReepers are the most amazing people in the world. I sincerely mean that.
