California Democratic Party Spokesman Bob Mulholland this weekend warned Arnold Schwarzenegger that "real bullets" will be coming his way during his campaign to be governor!

"Schwarzenegger is going to find out, that unlike a Hollywood movie set, the bullets coming at him in this campaign are going to be real bullets and he is going to have to respond to them," warned Mulholland in an interview with a camera crew from ABC NEWS.

"[Wife] Maria [Shriver] has been very concerned about Arnold's safety, her family has a history with assassination, you know," a source with direct ties to the movie star told the DRUDGE REPORT from Los Angeles.

"Mr. Mulholland and his talk of 'real bullets' with Arnold's name on them is reckless and not acceptable political discourse. He should be fired immediately, if the Democrats have any conscience."

The stunning threat from Mulholland, who rose to fame in 1992 after exposing how Republican Senate candidate Bruce Herschensohn visted a strip joint in Hollywood, comes as the historic recall election moves in to high gear -- and Schwarzenegger takes the lead in the polls.

Mullholland could not be reached for comment Sunday night.

Sounds like Mulholland has designs on doing Arnie in, so it might be a moot point. Maybe Arnie would be elected posthumously and Maria would end up governor. Stranger things have happened.

So many of these "strategists" are gravely underestimating Arnold Shwarzenegger's charisma and appeal to Americans of all generations.

Those of us just one or two generations from the "old country" admire him as an immigrant in the mold of our grandparents--hard-working; generous; good family man; sensible; down-to-earth.

These are qualities of character unknown to Dem politicos who are selfish and grasping and go into poitics primarily to feed at the public trough. Hogs like the Clintons!

Technically, anyone of us who heard it could call the local police out where Mr. Mulholland is and report it. He made terroristic threats and we are deeply saddened, concerned, and afraid he will act on those threats. Request that he be visited "arrested" and charged.

Say you are concerned his statements will also incite others to act on his suggestion/threat.

Yes, we have one son who is a retired SGT/Maj living in north San Diego County, another son who is a district Fire Chief in La Mesa and a daughter living in Wildomar. When our daughter and her husband transferred from Las Vegas to Wildomar area (his job) they moved into a home that had been empty for 2 months. They got an electric bill for $200.00 above the already high bill - when she called, she was given the info mentioned above. She told them they had only been in the house for 10 days - they told her that they had exceeded the previous months usage - she said, YES, but the house had been empty before. They will now have to take the time to go fight the bill. As I said, CA is no longer the "Golden State" - it is a 3rd world country and, until someone stops the 2500+ illegals that pour across the border each and every night....it is only going to get worse. Our grandchildren are now in private schools because the public school system is a joke.

Couldn't agree more with you. Arnold does appeal to all age groups. My Mom thinks it is great he is running and so do my three kids! Even I feel like moving back to CA to vote for him. Believe a non-politician is what is needed to clean out that mess in Sacramento. Arnold has accomplished so much since coming to this Country and I would think people would be proud to vote for someone like Arnold. He is willing to give up millions he makes on movies to take on the tough job of California Governor because he wants a better California for his family and everyone else.

"Sounds pretty quaint these days."

It's also extremely misleading. Herschensohn was and is single. The attack ads implied he was an adulterer. While quite a number of people would not consider his behavior proper especially for a senate candidate, the ads intended to discourage conservatives from even coming to the polls to vote.

Yes. And a lot of single men do go to a strip club to relax and have a few drinks. OK so they look at half naked women but these aren't married guys. Of course all this was before the Democrats discovered "a private life" exception just for Bill Clinton.
