Arnold Schwarzenegger's bid to recapture the California governorship for the Republicans could dramatically change the face of their party in a major electoral state that is one of the Democrats' biggest political strongholds.
"If Schwarzenegger is able to win this and able to successfully govern California, he plants an inclusive Republican flag in a state that Democrats have taken for granted in the last several presidential election cycles," said an unidentified Republican Party official.

RINO Aaaaaaahnold is in favor of:
Gun-grabbing
More spending on Gummint Skewels ( Is Doofus and a $38 billion deficit not enough? too cheap)
More businesses moving to California so that more tax revenues will be able to be spent on more social schemes again suggesting that Doofus is too cheap)
RINO Riordan as policy guru (he wants door-to-doorv gun confiscation without warrants and more spending on the "arts")
The continued slaughter of little children
Lavender Marriage (even Doofus still opposes this)
Lavender adoptions
A Social Revolutionary GOP in California and through its delegations to National GOP Conventions and end to a socially conservative party.
Tell me again, where any of this differs from Boxer or Waters other than the fact that Schwarzenkennedy dares to run as a Republican while being a Demonrat in drag. At least Boxer and Waters are honest in their choice of parties and are not fifth columnists.

Ah, a voice of wisdom. The only term Lyin' RINO George Ryan deserves is a lengthy one until death do us part in the federal hoosegow. In fairness billy-boy pointed this out first but it bears repeating. Aaaaaaahnold may well do for the California GOP what Lyin' RINO George Ryan did for the Illinois GOP.

According to Simon, very conservative, very socially conservative and actually Republican two-term Governor George Deukmejian got 65% of the Latino vote but the RINOs are too racist to ask for that vote so Wilson spit in the Latinos faces and guaranteed the GOP the trouble it now suffers.
The RINO conclusion, ohhhhhhh, if you don't want to kill babies and let the lavender marry and adopt, you caaaaaaan't get elected in California.

Billy Bulger is a hell of a lot closer to Republican than RINO Aaaaaaahnold or RINO Riordan, his issues guru and also closer than Jane not so Swift, Arguello Paul Selloutucci, or William Mayflower Weld. On Mitt Romney, we will give him a chance he sure drove Swift out of politics in short order and that has to be a plus.

Deukmejian got 65% of the Latino vote because his opponent was black (Tom Bradley). In addition, it wasn't until the 1990s that illegal aliens started voting en masse.

I listened to Schwarzenegger say, "The childrens are being kept from the books." American children are no more deprived of books than they are of Happy Meals or Krispy Kremes. Does The Arnold think he's running for Governor of North Korea? It just shows how being a multi-millionaire and married to the Kennedy-clan can make you out of touch with reality.
What American children are being deprived of is a national future. We must do something about illegal immigration. As I see it, there are ninety million Mexicans and they all want to come here. I can't see them waiting ten or even five more years while the politicians of California wave driver's licenses and in-state college tuitions as enticements. How is *anyone* going to balance the budget with ninety million illegals on welfare?

RINOs are sometimes a necessity if your ultimate goal is the US Supreme Court. If Guiliani runs for the Senate in NY against Clinton or Schumer, I would wholeheartedly support him because he can win. We need the Senate votes for Bush nominees. A conservative Supreme Court would trump the liberals, protect the 2nd A, protect unborn life, and uphold the Constitution in general.
Without the RINOs we could be in the minority and "out" of power.

Your last paragraph is dead right. The previous two are nonsense and inconsistent with the last. Dubya got Latino vote by having numerous Latinos in his family by marriage, by speaking some Spanish, by ASKING POLITELY FOR THEIR VOTES (as you suggest) and by being a social conservative.
The California GOP is run by RINOs like Gerry Parskey and Brook Firestone. That is why it is totally inept on issues and coalition building. These guys think of a coalition as a mutual effort of the polo club, the yacht club and Bank of America's coroporate directors. Maybe Simon would have done better if he was not blindsided by that $300 million judgment against his stock brokerage for fraud (none of his personal doing but played to a faretheewell by Doofus). I don't think it had much to do with him being a conservative.
Simon claims to have gotten 3.1 million votes to Doofus's 3.4 million votes, a difference of 300,000. To someone in, say, New Hampshire, that sounds like a devastating margin. Work out the numbers and you will find that Simon got 48.5% to Doofus's 51.5% This is hardly an embarassment for a rank rookie (a category in which Aaaaaahnold now falls). Tom McClintock lost for State Comptroller by 1% or no more than 65,000 votes in a state as big as California. Can someone please tell me why Robot Man is some kind of world-beater when he polls 25%?
Besides, Aaaaaaaahnold is a conservative on exactly NOTHING. Why ARE we arguing here?

Ummmmm, Aaaaaaahnold the liberal robot is NOT running for the Senate. He wants to be CHIEF EXECUTIVE of California, disguised as a Republican.
Your argument works for Giuliani or maybe even for Arlen Spector (who turned shovel after shovel of earth onto Anita Hill's coffin while facing a conservative primary challenge) who got Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court. I does not work for RINO Musclehead or RINO Riordan.
As to your second paragraph, then we will just have to work harder and politely ask and persuade Latinos and blacks to make up for Demonrats in drag known as RINOs. What good does it do to be in the majority if you do so by enacting your enemy's agenda. When McClintock wins, California and America win.

He's smoking what we ALL smoked, at least once, back in the wild and crazy sixties and seventies. Get over it.
To: ambrose
I admit that I had forgotten that Comrade Bradley was the opponent but, as your post suggests, there are possibilities for driving wedges into the Demonratic coalition and, instead of relying on sound bite commercials, California Republicans should busy themselves making that sort of mischief on the ground. I had not noted by the way that Comrade Bradley was a noted social conservative as was Deukmejian. Mexicans, illegal or not, are no enthusiasts for marriages of Bruce and Lance or adoptions where the adoptee will have two daddies or abortion.

Yes, all those illegal Austrian immigrants are sure to appreciate Aaaaaaahnold in Sacramento, if he does not embarass them too much. Since Planned Barrenhood Wilson, the Proposition 187 man, is backing Robot Man enthusiastically, don't look for too much Aaaaaahnoldmania among the Latinos.

No, I have been anti-RINO since watching Nelson Rockefeller, William Scranton and John Lindsay in action. Should conservatives be pro-RINO? Which is to say pro-Aaaaaaahnold or pro-Riordan?
Are we supposed to ignore reality? Sorry to spoil your RINO Party but wait until Aaaaaaahnold and the tabloids really ruin it for you!
I never saw Jay D. Dyson's name on here until a couple of days ago, but Dyson does know his stuff and refuses to be hypnotized by robotmania. If you are going to mention him, you have an obligation to ping him according to normal courtesy.
Don't you also sound like the various usual seminar RINO posters? That does not mean you are not the one and only you.
I also strive to be more vicious to RINOs than most. It is my idea of fine art and is, in fact, a point of pride.
